This man is a vindictive, short man that wears high heals to appear taller. I hope Disney takes him to the cleaners.
I go to Disney every year for the past 20 plus years and is enjoyed every second.

      👍👍👍👍

The way I see it, there are 2 changes that need to made:
1 desantis needs to put things back the way they were before desantis’s ego took over.
2 the second change should be to get rid of desantis altogether.
And getting rid of desantis will fix a lot of the problems and issues that came with that ratchet ego!

      Bravo!!!

    2. Great idea, DeSantis is ruining our state with his hateful ideas and would never vote for this terrible man. Disney already knows how to run their park.

Conservatives attack the company that produces the most family friendly entertainment…maybe you should target the internet porn industry instead??? Oh wait, maybe that is what they consider “family” friendly.

    1. The people of Florida need to respond to DeSantis by voting him out….permanently. Disney has meant so much to so many people for so long, especially Florida residents. There is so much vindictiveness in this world and we don’t need elected officials to participate in it. Vote him and his puppets out.

DeSantis is in his 2nd term. He can’t run again in the next election, but apparently can rear his petty, vindictive head again in the future. Only in Florida…. Let’s hope the voters there don’t bring him back, ever.

“A Florida governor can serve two consecutive four-year terms before having to step down for the next election. There is no lifetime limit on the number of times a candidate may be elected. The governor is elected by popular election every four years, according to the state constitution.”

Let’s start a petition to remove Desantis after all he hasn’t done anything to improve FLA

DeSantis has no business interfering with the state’s largest employer and one of their biggest tax producers. Any state would happily take what Florida has with Disney. This childish feud needs to end now!

Maybe it’s time for Disney to begin looking outside of Florida to build a new Disney world and shut Florida down. De santis can then tell the 70,000 ex employees how he made the right decision.

DeSantis has to go. One diastrous action after another. What sane governor would ever deliberately undermine his state’s largest employer, its largest tax paying corporation, and propose to put the financial burden of his actions on that state’s taxpayers? And, Disney is the target! It is like living in an alternate reality.

Desantis and the Republican Party in Florida had no problem taking over a million dollars in contributions from Disney in the last couple of election years. But when Disney exercised it’s rights in accordance with the Supreme Court Citizen’s United decision (which afforded companies the right to express their opinions in the form of statements and funding to politicians) by speaking out about one of his pet policies AND announced it would no longer be making political contributions to either party, he vindictively decided Disney needed to be punished. He appointed Bridget Ziegler, the founder of Mom’s for Liberty to the new Disney oversight board…the same one who has been so outspoken about the importance of family values and anti LGBT actions BUT whose husband was just alleged to have raped a women with whom he and Bridget were involved in a three-way sexual relationship. The hypocracy is stunning!

Agree with all comments. , the man has to go, let him move out if Steve. I just spent 5 days for Xmas there, fabulous time as always. Will continue to be a Passholder

    1. Hopefully the funds needed to continue the lawsuit will not be approved for DeSantis. I’m not happy with some of Disney’s recent decisions but this has to stop. Chapin should not have voiced his personal opinion as company one. DeSantis should have viewed it as any other opinion. He has overstepped his authority and hurt his own reputation and an asset to his state. Both sides need to back off. I agree with put it back and step away. When DeSantis said to people of FL he would not run for President but stay to finish his term. Then changed law so he would not loose his job if he ran. That told me he is a liar and I would not vote for him. This fight with Disney sealed my decision.

What i would like to know is what the state has gained by taking away the special treatment given to Disney. From what i read there are many other organizations that have the same special benefits but no one is talking about them.
It appears to me that this has nothing to do with special treatment but someone’s ego was hurt because Disney did not agree with them.

Disney should be governed under the same guidelines as Universal and Sea World, then it doesn’t matter who the governor is

    1. donjrjr

And Universal was just given its own self-governing district!

  11. Thelma

I’ve lived in FL since ’72. Visited Disney on our way from Texas: VISITED CONSTANTLY EVER SINCE! Right now, I’m ashamed to be associated with both these narrow minded, bigoted states!

  12. Thelma

We moved to FL in ’72 from TX. Loved my first visit to Disney on our way to S. Fl
DISNEY HAS BEEN PART OF MY ENTIRE HAPPY LIFE, MY DAUGHTER’S, & GRANDDAUGHTER’S. I’m ashamed to be associated with both these backwards, bigoted states.

Governor DeSantis is nothing more than a bully somebody didn’t like something he said so now he is being a vindictive bully full of hot air and needs to be put in his place. Disney has managed to run a very efficient high employing place for decades. What makes Ron DeSantis think it needs to be changed, his little mind that’s what makes him think Disney needs to be changed only his little mind

  14. Valerie

Governor DeSantis is nothing more than a bully! I tried to make further comment, but whoever governs this comment section wouldn’t let me put it out there. Disney has been a well run, productive, high employee company for decades they seem to know what they’re doing. They are well loved by millions of people. Governor DeSantis, and his cronies should go pick on someone else.

  15. Joe

DeSantis will only cease his war against Disney when he leaves office – and we will not do so as President. Let’s see how brave he is when he has no state AG to defend him for free!

  16. Eulette

I totally agree with most every one, DeSantis needs to go away, he doesnt need to be running a state, all he wants is his way or no way, why Floridians elected him to be govenor is beyond me, he does not care at all for the people of Florida. I hope he does not get the Republican party nomination for president, I will not vote for this little man, he cant run a state, he would destroy the Country.I hope Disney Wins against him & he is Put in his place.
    DeSantis needs to go.

  17. Pam

This is so childish, sad and sick. The original Reedy Creek did a great job and so has Disney! Now we Floridians will have to pay for all of this childish selfish behavior. Sad for Floridians

  18. Chris

    Reinstate Reedy Creek!
DeSantis and his high paid, inexperienced cronies need to go!

  19. Diane

DeSantis must go. Yes, of course he is retaliating against his largest taxpayer and employer. He’s truly the biggest RINO in the party.
