Walt’s vision was an ever growing and expanding park. If it never changed, it would still be small and minimal. He himself had several rides closed and updated, as well as taken out of the park entirely as times changed.
I saw the Haunted Mansion in June. It looked dated and could use an update. It is a fun ride and could be cleaned up a bit without really change it. My grandkids love it.
Their litteritly updating and refurbishing the queue not changing the ride. If anything their making the experience better you make it sound like they are ruining it.
