Yes, please forgive her and just move on. When you refuse to forgive someone all that happens is both of you are held hostage to hate. By forgiving you release everything, leave it in God’s hands. You can then move on freely with your life, which also makes you freer to experience future happiness.
When you forgive someone you grow in maturity and spirit, hopefully, that happens to them also.
I believe the above thoughts were in Shane’s advice. Pastor Fred Price for decades has said, you need to forgive, but do NOT need to get back in the yard with the dog that bit you. I do not believe Jesus ever told us to forget, just forgive. Forgiveness says the meditation philosophy is important because refusing to forgive is like drinking poison and waiting for the other to die. It is not realistic. I think many people do not believe this way, and it harms them. Sad.
