Now this is such a stretch to try to link the move over law to be having anything to do with Disney World guest.

It does if you drive your vehicle to parks. We use two wheel chairs and never use buses after trying several times. Can’t get two on same bus 99.9% of the time due to evc. We just drive to the parks

    2. Frank Lufkin

Correct. Besides need to educate residents because almost all never pay attention to such things.

How is Fort Wilderness a state park campsite. Did anyone actually read the State park campsite bill? It has nothing to do with Disney.

    1. Frank Lufkin

Correct, Fort Wilderness is not a State Park so law does not apply here.

    2. Renee

Is he taking over the camp ground because it’s in Buena Vista

    3. K.parker

Exactly!! I just looked it up, it’s a private moderate camping resort. Nothing state about it.

How silly. We have move over laws exactly like this one in Tennessee and we had these laws when I lived in Georgia 20 years ago. I’m surprised these were not always in place. It’s common sense really. Safer is better

We’ve had them here in Florida for a decade or two now. This is just and update.

    2. Peggy

Yes Pa has had it for years. I didn’t see where it should say
Move over if safely possible. If not able to move over slow down

    3. Theresa

I live in Georgia we have had these same laws for as long as I can remember. They are for the safety of the workers that preform these type jobs. Why would people even think they have anything to do with Disney World. The new law is put in place to save lives.

Fort Wilderness is not a state park. The Florida park reservation law does not apply.
The move over laws are state wide, not theme park area specific.

I reply to yours but it’s the only way I can . He is making Florida loose $ .

      1. Luiz Pamplona

“He is making Florida loose $”?
        He?
        Who?

    2. Frank Lufkin

Correct and applies to those going to Universal and Seaworld parks also.

  5. I’m guessing there’s a Disney connection because you can use your driver’s license number to book in advance. Wow, can’t wait to visit Disney and pay high dollar.

I think there is more bigger problems than Disney. I don’t know what his fascination is about picking on Disney. We have neighbors being thrown out in the street because they can’t afford their rent sleeping on park benches and he’s thinking about Disney. Are you joking right now? Definitely does not need to be a president

    1. Frank Lufkin

      Amen.

  7. Keith

Hmmm? I wonder if that law giving preference to Florida residents violated the Interstate Commerce Clause of the U.S.Constitution?

  8. Dave

Neither of these laws have any connection to Walt Disney World. The traffic law supply to WDW just as it does to about other place in the state, and the camping site law only affects State Parks, not WDW parks.

  9. Lou Miranda

This has nothing to do with Disney. It’s a Fl State law. Wake up

  10. James Sotcheff

The Dems and Disney hate the Governor. They’ll do or say anything to make him look bad. He’s really fulfilling his #1 mandate to keep EVERYONE safe. Nothing more.

  11. Sue

This is a state law and has been who writes this crap has nothing to do with Disney. Florida would be much better if Disney would move out and take all these entire people with them

  12. moma

The move over law won’t make a difference because there is never any police presence near disney world, especially 417 and horrible John Young Parkeay!

  13. RayKay

You’re grasping at straws. I find it hard to believe you had to stretch your imagination this much. There wasn’t anything said to write about? Would’ve been a lot less work.

First off the move over law has been in multiple states way before this in Florida. Nothing new to anybody who, doesn’t live under a rock.
As for the campsite registration, it’s only fair we who live in Florida get first dibs on campsites. Plenty of vacationers book sights then cancel last minute which sucks.
If anyone doesn’t like the laws feel, free to go to California for vacation, they have camping and Disney
