Here is what I think, and “why” we have not been back to Disney World recently. Disney seems to be willing to spend a ton of money for the security to make sure we do not park in the parking lots, or go to a locker when we do not have a ticket for a special event (even though the lockers are located outside of the area), but they have no visible security “inside of the parks”. This is where all of the fights, thefts, and real problems are happening every day. Wake up Disney people!

I have personally experienced security guards rushing me to get my 85 year old grandmother into her wheel chair and move my car into a proper parking spot. I have been told I “cannot” get my car keys from my security locker because I did not pay to enter the Christmas event (sorry the tram was down and the bus would not bring us back because it was not full), those lockers are outside of the event area. Meanwhile the rides are being vandalized and people are taking their clothes off and fighting, but no security is in the area, just a few kids who are cast members.

Maybe I’ve just been lucky, but I usually stay at Coronado Springs 2-4 times a year for 12 nights, but most days in the afternoon I drive over to Port Orleans — French Quarter to spend time at the pool bar with friends I’ve made there. To date, I have yet to encounter any difficulty with Security — I just show them my ID & tell them I’m going to be visiting Mardi Gras (the PO-FQ Pool Bar), & they just wave me in!
However, the Deluxe Resorts are another issue entirely — even BEFORE the pandemic, I was turned away from both the Beach Club & the Contemporary even though I was planning to eat there. Prior to that, I’d never had an issue with getting to park at those two resorts, & I had frequently ate at both Cape May & The Wave restaurants with NO reservation (since I always visit Disney alone, I NEVER make dining reservations & have never been turned away — unfortunately, it appears as though those days are gone since I can’t even park at those places without a reservation!).

They seem to have rules only pertinent to charging guests money but feel free to strip, fight, steal from other guests.

Uses to live in Florida and only went to Disney world 3 times (and this was when gas was 59 cents a gallon). I see no future trips. P.S.. .your web site is GREAT!!!!!!!
