There are countless ways guests can take vacations, whether it’s visiting theme parks such as Walt Disney World, Disneyland Universal Studios, and Six Flags or visiting national parks like Acadia National Park, Yellowstone National Park, and, of course, Great Smokey Mountains. By far, one of the most popular ways to travel and see the world at the same time is by setting sail on a cruise. There are many options when it comes to booking your cruise, with there being dozens of companies and hundreds of ships to choose from. We here at Inside the Magic are big fans of Disney Cruise Line (of course) as well as Norwegian Cruise Line and Carnival Cruise Line.
Overall, a cruise vacation is a lot safer than a cross-country drive, with nearly everything that guests could worry about being covered by their ticket.
However, mother nature can still rub its course, and recently, passengers were subject to a truly terrifying incident.

Carnival Cruise Line owns and operates over 25 different ships, ranging from small vessels to massive ships capable of transporting nearly 7,000 passengers at a time. The newest addition to Carnival’s fleet is the Carnival Jubilee, which is another massive vessel. However, the video we are about to show you may make you second-guess your cruise vacation.
Earlier this month, hundreds of passengers panicked as their cruise ship took on water. The halls of the sheep were drenched with what appeared to be about an inch or two of water. Passengers quickly exited their roos, some taking video of the frightening incident.
One video went viral on social media, being shared across platforms like TikTok, where it reached millions of views and lost half a million likes:

As you can see, water was soaking on this specific floor of the ship, with water dripping down from the floor above it as well.

As reported by the New York Post, Carnival Cruise Line stated that the flooding was caused by “a burst water line.”
The Carnival Radiance is a Destiny-class cruise ship that was first ordered by Carnival Cruise Line back in 1997 and is one of th largest cruise ships of its era.
This specific incident happened on October 17, 2023, and took place on the first night of a 4-night cruise out of Long Beach, California. Carnival Radiance had departed Long Beach the evening before and was set to visit Catalina Island on October 17, followed by Ensenada, Mexico on October 18.
