If you are going to Hollywood Studios prior to the start of the Jollywood event that starts at 7pm, then you need a park ticket. If you are going for the event only, you do not need a park ticket. You have to wait until 7pm to enter. The way you wrote about the ticket(s), is confusing. It is just like MVMCP, you only need to event ticket. But for that you can get in earlier.
