The sequels never even had a coherent premise. Is it really worth three movies to tell the gripping saga of Palpatine’s granddaughter? Why do we care about his granddaughter.
Also why did you make me envision Palpatine having sex in order to have a granddaughter ew ew ew. Right there, it’s a bad premise. Come up with a different once. Couldn’t she have been Obi Wan’s kid or grandkid?
Anyway it’s a matter of taste whether the prequels or the sequels are worse. I’ll go with: sequels are worse.
Unpopular? It was top 4 or better on Samba TV every week. It’s #4 in online engagement in the past two years, just behind the Wednesday series. It trended #1 or 2 on X every time an episode dropped. What are you even looking at?
The ratings did continue to go down and that’s what they referring to by popularity. It was an amazing show and a lot of the flack Disney is facing is for trying to cash in on spinning George’s work. They should’ve never deviated from his blueprint. The sequel is never better than the original.
Ahsoka was a great show and one of my favorites. I feel that both Ashoka and Obi Wan Kenobi deserve a second season. Book of Boba Fett and Skeleton Crew should have two seasons, and then the Mandalorian should have one more season. I would love to see a series revolve around Ray Stevenson’s character if they can somehow do that.

Absolutely wild that tabloids like this say the sequel trilogy divided fans as if multiple prequels didn’t 👀

Exactly!
Anybody who says the sequels are worse than the prequels is either a troll or a child.

The sequels don’t even tell a cohesive story. The prequels certainly do.

The prequels are a good premise, botched.

I think a lot of people has had time to be more nostalgic for the prequels. And if you watched them as a kid you seem to like them more.
But it’s funny how the Sequel trilogy was supposed to ‘save’ Star Wars but only made it worse.

Unpopular according to whom? The show has a solid fan following.

Who says it was unpopular. I thought it was good. I really enjoyed it. People are not as familiar with Star wars rebels.
