It looks like this Disney Park is not messing around anymore, as security personnel have been beefed up throughout a specific resort following an incident where a drunk man got naked and ran through an iconic attraction in front of children and adults.

What Happened at Disneyland Last Weekend? Disney Park Security Beefed Up

On November 26, 2023, a 26-year-old man was arrested after streaking at Disneyland’s “it’s a small world” ride. The incident occurred in Anaheim, California. The man’s actions caused the ride to shut down for over an hour. Police say the man was high on drugs.

Rumors are circulating that, due to the streaking incident, Disneyland might be considering significant changes to most of its classic attractions to prevent more people from attempting to cause this much chaos and hectics to families, cast members, and security members. But Disney has not confirmed this as this is purely speculation.

Similar incidents have taken place in Disneyland over the last few weeks. A five-year-old boy lost all five toes on one foot while riding the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad attraction at Disneyland Park some time ago. A close family friend shared the experience on social media, leading to tons of comments from the Disney community.

Another guest got severely burned during a freak fireworks accident over the summer when the guest was burned by airborne debris from a “rogue firework.”

In another incident, a man leaped to his death in a tragic and horrible accident. Police are investigating a possible suicide after a few other guests also similarly jumped to their deaths this year and last year.

Disneyland is beefing up security throughout the resort to keep guests safe and avoid more incidents like the ones mentioned above.

According to a Reddit post from the r/Disneyland subreddit page, a user mentioned how they have witnessed a significant difference in security personnel throughout the parks.

Did anyone go to the park today and notice a difference in security due to the incident on ‘It’s A Small World’ the other day?

Of course, the mention of the incident from last weekend did lead to this increase in security. Other guests did comment and agreed with the observation of “beefed up” security.

I’m sure they are concerned about copycats and overall want to give the impression that security is watching and close by. To be honest, that’s a good thing.

Hopefully, the increase in security throughout the parks will be here to stay in the long term. You can read the entire thread from Reddit by clicking here.

How do you feel about the recent security members being more present throughout the parks at Disneyland Resort?
