What is “classic”? Fairytales have been told for thousands of years and they have been changing and evolving continually. It’s naturally they continue to evolve now. We may not like all the changes but it’s very natural.
I believe people need to stop redoing movies that were already amazing and come up with new ideas! I feel like this is their sly way of saying we don’t have any imagination anymore and can’t think of anything new to do! Leave my childhood movies alone!! You don’t like them then don’t watch them, they aren’t hurting you!!!
The strike has not affected filming. It has affected reshoots as they try to salvage what has become a dumpster fire. The money, reported to be around 400 million, will never be made back.
Go woke, go broke. My family has not watched any of the “revised” classics. They haven’t revised anything. They have stripped the classics to create a whole new story. Too bad they couldn’t just create new woke stories instead of running old ones. Disney parks have become a one and done vacation for many families. Overpriced, underwhelming, and ruined by the management itself. They never learn. I’m looking forward to Universal’s Epic park opening. This could be the last nail in the Disney coffin. SMH….

Thank God this version, based on the original, is being released!! When I read the description of the “woke” version, I thought I would have an aneurysm!! Haven’t enough movies and TV shows been reworked for the liberal audience already? If Hollywood wants to do anything, they can re-release the original movies and TV shows, the way they were decades ago.

I feel like Disney has strayed very far from the morals, values, and ideals that were a big part of their structure for a long time. I used to look forward to the newest Disney movies coming out, but to be honest, I haven’t felt that way in years. Remaking classics into live action versions and changing a lot of the original storylines has just caused Disney to lose their magic. Where’s the new, fresh, fun ideas and the pure imagination that used to be a staple for Disney?? It’s been lost somewhere and they need to find it again!
