I’m sorry this movie is a classic, leave the storyline alone. If you want to make a film about women being strong then make a new one. We need to remember the story was written in a different time, and I honestly don’t think there’s anything wrong with. I grew up watching all the Disney princess movies, I’m a very independent, strong woman. I think people are reading way too much into these classic cartoons. If you don’t like them then don’t watch them, make new ones but leave the old ones alone.
I totally agree Disneys message was good overcame evil and I came to no harm watching these too much gets pulled apart and reinvented and many times not for the best

Do to Ziegler and Gadot like they did Johnny Depp. Disney was so quick to pass judgement on an innocent man. Hold these two women accountable and end their careers. It is called equal rights. Which in turn deserves penalties.
Its completely different. Bell is using the story as a teaching moment for her kids, which is what these stories were meant to be used for (aside from entertainment). She’s not calling Snow stupid, bashing girls who want True love, or being nasty about the choices that Snow makes throughout the story. She’s just saying to her kids, “you shouldn’t do this, look at what happened here! Here are some questions you should ask… You shouldn’t take food from strangers, look at the dangerous outcomes!” And teaching her kids basic consent. The story is a little different because the kiss was an old funeral tradition in my opinion, but the lesson of consent being given is very important. Bell is just being a good mom. Zeigler is just hating on an old story that people still love and started a media empire that has brought us so many of our favourite memories.
Bell did receive backlash after making the “kissing while asleep” comment. She initiated the “sexual assault” line. Like Bell never kissed her kids after they’ve fallen asleep and she had to carry them to bed. How many parents committed “sexual assault” by kissing their kids after they’ve fallen asleep or when they wake them up in the morning. These hollywood people need to get back to reality and stop living in make-believe.

Totally different! Teaching lessons is part of the reason fairy tales exist. They are a way to teach something. People pick out of it what they want. I think it is important to point out, the prince’s kiss to Snow White was not one of pushing himself on her. She was dead, supposedly. She was beautiful and he wanted to give her one last kiss. In the movie it is gentle and sweet. Again, teaching a lesson is good, but don’t take it to extreme and change the whole storyline.

Biggest difference between the three actresses is that Gadot and Bell weren’t super aggressive and condescending about it. Ziegler was. Plus, they’re older and more seasoned in the game. With age, comes wisdom, usually.

Zegler was on a press tour for the movie where she plays a beloved title character and in EVERY interview she is bashing the beloved story and the views of the characters. It’s bad PR. Everyone is very sceptical about these live action remakes from the get go so they’re basically looking for a reason to bash it.
