I saw a rescue at the Beach Club pool. The life guard blew her whistle as she jumped in the pool, to alert other guards. She got to the child quickly and helped him. She was impressive and very competent. I couldn’t believe it when the next thing that happened was the child’s father yelled at her because “there was nothing wrong” with his child. The rest of us applauded her actions.
I saw a person have a seizure in the pool at Animal Kingdom Lodge and the lifeguards were amazing in that situation. They had to keep her above water until seizure was over then take her out of pool because they didn’t want her to hit her head and also had to make sure she didn’t turn and drown or bite her tongue

Yes, absolutely lifesaving should be saved for the professionals. But being a parent, lifesaving is a natural instinct.
