  1. My family regularly visits Disney World and we are Castaway Cay members. We have middle-class salaries, and Disney is starting to not make sense financially. Often, I think I’m not going back until the Epcot construction zone is over. But when is that going to be? Disney is also turning favorite resorts into construction zones to build towers to bring in the 1% DVC members. I think what people want is for the company to bring back the perks that they are making us pay for now and ride maintenance (they are constantly broke down).

Genie+ is terrible. POS to the max.

I did not like the “free” Fast Pass system, but I am also not a fan of Genie+ because every attraction has to be scheduled individually. I would prefer to pay for LL in a lump sum (however high) as one can do at Universal Studios and most other theme parks. Disney could make as much or more money as they do with their current system but the customers who purchase it will be happier and the ones who don’t want to budget for the expense will complain just as they are doing now about Genie+.

Fast pass worked wonderfully. We use to go to Disneyto experience the magic and leave our phones alone. Now, you need your phones for everything. You miss so much of the magic staring at your phone all day. Sad

Disney was known for it’s perks, the tickets were higher than most parks, the resorts were more expensive but you had a free fastpass system, extra magic hours and there was always some sort of magic. I’m to WDW right now with friends that have never been, they have first time buttons and have only had one interaction with cast member and it’s their third and last day. All the prices have gone up, service has gone down, it’s nothing but a cash grab now, nickel and dime in the name of Disney. They charge you to park even it paying for one of their overpriced resorts. All-Star Music cost me more a day this year than Caribbean beach did in 2017. This virtual Que system is a joke, it’s hard to make plans around it when you have no clue how long it will take. I had planned on shooting photos and videos at Happily Ever After but here I am stuck in the Tron que instead while the show goes on…. I refuse to purchase Genie+, Disney takes enough of my money and without those Disney perks and all of the cost cutting, the new nickel and dime charges it’s becoming a high priced glorified Six Flags.

All the price add ons and increases are Stressful, even the kids are less than happy at Disney. Next year we’ll do a cruise or go to a National Park….
