Disney has had their day. I hope they go bankrupy. Walt Disney never meant this to happen. I’ve been going there since the 50’s, it had become an arm pit. Stay away!!!! To expensive, to violent.
My first trip was with Mom in the 1950s. Rode a helicopter from the airport to the parking lot at the Disneyland Hotel. II was 9 and this was super exciting.
Last time was in the 1980s with my young son. It was fine, but costs up and up and up.
Hearing about what’s happening now, I’ll just keep my happy memories — nonviolent — memories.
Stay away, too expense, too violent and explosion waiting to happen. Save you money. Walt Disney would be appalled. I didn’t just say this. Disney won’t print this comment of warning. Just crooks , they only want your money to disappoint your families.
Can’t afford to make reservations? There isn’t a charge? Geesh, people who are complainers will always find something to complain about even when there isn’t anything there
If someone goes to a place like Disney without looking at their website first, they get what they deserve. I go to Disney World all the time and still check out the website to see the latest info. Doesn’t make sense to me.
The biggest question I have with this gathered information is:
So magickey holders are the only ones required to make reservations, am I correct? Why is this? Why is the system still representing Magic key holders as,”unfavorable.”
Bob?
Same thing happened to me recently. I was there for 2 days. Late the second day when we tried to re-enter the park, our reservation was magically gone from the app. Luckily they were able to look it up and let us in
So sad but it’s not the happiest place on earth any more. I’m from southern California and was a lifetime lover of Disneyland. I quit it in 2019. At that point I had had annual passports for myself and when they were young my kids for 30years. It’s gotten too crowded, too expensive and just not the place I fell in love with as a kid. I feel sorry for the families that go now. They will never know the magic that Walt created the way he meant it to be. I hate to say it but the whole company may some day in the not so distant future may be nothing but a memory.
Disney looks like a crowded NYC street. It is overpriced, and too many degenerate people who can’t afford to go, but do it any way. They are the ones causing the fights and stealing from others.
I can’t believe the cost to go to Disneyland. You have to save for a year just to take a family of 4 for 1 day. I remember buying a So Cal select pass back in early 2000’s for just $99. Disney has been gouging their customers for a long time. I don’t ever plan on returning to a Disney park.
Back in 2005 I went to DL the second week of September and literally was able to do the whole park in a day. I didn’t even know they were celebrating the 50th anniversary until I was there. The entrance lines were about 20 people deep at most, and I never waited more than 15 minutes for anything, didn’t even need fast passes. I was able to call the Blue Bayou restaurant directly and get a reservation for dinner the next day. There was even talk of closing the park on Mondays. I really miss those days. Nowadays there are no “light attendance” times no matter when you go.
Good. The more people that get fed up the more that stay home and the less crowded it will be. But that will only work if thousands a day feel this way and on the days I plan to go. It doesn’t cost to make a reservation but you have to have your tickets bought to put them in the app so they can be linked to the reservation. Although it I truly think they capp it rather high bc it’s elbow to elbow on some days. They do tell you over and over their peak days. So if those are the only days you can go then you have to go with the mindset you will have long wait times and large crowds. If it’s not then it will be a happy surprise. There are plenty of sites on the web like this one that have disney news, some help you plan your days etc. So do your due diligence and read around and catch up on what’s going on. And that goes for any vacation. There is no such thing as winging it anymore. This world is too crowded and greedy to boot!! But I absolutely love Disney and everything about it. I’ll let the big man upstairs sort out the greedy people. I just go and try to make the most of it. We always do the 5 day pass. So we take our time and that’s the only thing we do. The next year we do other stuff. That way we aren’t stressed and trying to do it allll in 3 days and then wonder why we are disappointed and disillusioned. But that’s just my family!
I don’t support Disney as they are connected to child trafficking and child exploitation. They also support the liberal left wing agenda. My kids and grandkids do not spend their money with Disney.

What about the families who can’t afford to make reservations online is it fair to turn them away from disneyland or disneyworld ?

Isn’t it just common sense to read the park rules when you buy a ticket?
