The sooner DeSantis is gone, the better the state and its people will be. We’ve had our fair share of horrible Governors, i.e. Rick Scott, but DeSantis quickly demonstrated how quickly things can go downhill under his lackluster performance. His Gestapo tactics of banning books, attacks on Freedom of speech, and knee jerk responses to family values and corporate activities and other decisions clearly influenced voters dissatisfaction which continues to clearly explain his fall from dictatorial self-serving authoritarianism.
DeSantis has NOTHING to do with the failure of Disney– you only have to look at the thuggish crowds, high prices from tickets, merchandise and foods, to horrible customer service and anything else to related to a family’s outing at Disney to find out why attendance drops and the constant bashing of Disney parks — DeSantis can say what he wishes But ultimately Disney is no longer the Disney that 40’s or older, remember as the MECCA of theme parks!
I was going to write a long comment as a Florida resident, but after reading the comment by B.E. Middleton (above) I just have to say ditto, well said. I could not have said it any better.
As someone in a northern heartland state, people with kid I know have said they’d like to go to Disney, but they don’t want to patronize the state of Florida and their current government. I do have friends that are retiring their at least for the winter, but none of them are or need to work. As for me I’m picking a more western southern state for winters.
