The Rock and Margot Robbie are absolutely 2 of the worst ideas to replace Depp in Pirates. I love Robbie, dont get me wrong but in no way will she be as compelling or memorable as Depp’s captain Jack. Now, The fk’n Rock??! Seriously! His movies were really entertaining there for a good stretch. Lately though they leave much to be desired, most of them anyways. The Rock and JD are both charismatic in their very own and very different ways, and they maybe could make an interesting team that compliment each other nicely. The Rock by himself though I dont ever see him as a good fit for Pirates and the type of atmosphere and the type of comedy involved in them. I think its a bad move for Disney and especially The Rock if this were to happen.

Johnny Depp doesn’t need Disney, Disney Needs Jonny Depp. Too many fans across the globe see Captain Jack only being played by him, after all, Disney may have invented Captain Jack Sparrow but it was Johnny Depp that took him and brought him to life as only he can. Disney needs him in the next installment even if it’s to show his character a final and befitting farewell. Personally if I were a Disney exec I would have Captain Jack become lost or trapped in one of the magical realms the movie franchise is famous for. He could become the master of his magical domain or underwater realm. Some where that if needed, his character could be resurrected if needed. Keep a door open if the franchise needs a boost to keep moving forward no matter in what direction.

Without him , and this is nothing to do with any other actors talents, without Depp as Sparrow, its just not the same.
