The point of Colin being an activist is lost in his whining. Kneeling during our national anthem, or any other detracting activity, is disrespectful to the country, our service men and women, and to those who served previously. Those individuals serve so we still have the freedom to complain and whine as we do. Our national anthem stands for all the good in this country. We aren’t perfect, no country is, but we try and we berate ourselves more than any other culture. Colin Kapernick has earned an incredible amount of money because of his actions – in many other countries he could have been shot. If I disagree with him I don’t need – nor should I – insult something of value to him. His actions insulted and demeaned many Americans. I support his activities and his right to speak out to right wrongs; I do not support his efforts to tear down our country in the process.
