    Why?

  2. I Love Disney! At the same time Disney needs to put there act together and bring the satisfaction and understand the Magic is gone. Time to think like Walt (the inner child). The money is blinding their minds.

  3. Michael

Disney is wringing every penny out of their parks these days and isn’t spending on maintaining their assets for the enjoyment of their guests. This is the new Disney. The magic is gone and the mouse has become a rat.

Why should people be compensated or get a refund. These things happen. IT’S CALLED LIFE. LIFE IS FULL OF DISAPPOINTMENTS. Next time check the Disney app to avoid this from happening again.

  5. Barb

Nothing is guaranteed. Things happen. You have to be flexible.

We were also there on Sunday. Got there maybe around 9:30. My son was in line for rockin roller coaster and it broke down. I don’t believe that ever came back up but my son got a lightning lane pass for it. We also road rise of the resistance, runaway railway and toy story mania. Yes they did also break down during the day which as we all know they do, but eventually they were up and running.

We were at the park this day. The ride closures coupled with the heat and crowds made the day unenjoyable but that wasn’t the worst part.. a bunch of us got stuck on Rise of the Resistance for about 45 minutes unable to move. We were freaking out and there was no communication from staff. My girlfriend, who was not on the ride, found a manager and got them to give her updates. She then text those updates to me and we were able to stop panicking when we learned they were finally coming. It was traumatizing.

Seems the rider or something always breaks down or something is closed come on get it together and have a decent park for once

You guys seem to really hate Disney?

Should of went to Epcot you could of walked there in the amount of time it too you to wait in line at guest services. You should have gotten the park hopper! You should always be flexible when it comes to your vacation. Things will go wrong. You should always have a 2nd option or back up plan!

Disney should refund tickets if 4 rides at a park like Hollywood Studios with few rides as it is, aren’t working… it’s the right things to do IMO especially given the price of tickets there anymore.

    1. Bibi

Agreed! One ride is understandable. 4 rides breaking down is unacceptable

    2. Meghan

LOL! The rides were only down intermittently, not all day. All they had to do was wait a little bit and go back and the rides were back up and running. This is nothing new, Disney rides close down often, sometimes multiple times a day. And many times they close, it’s because the GUESTS have done something to cause an issue with the ride. Rise of the Resistance and Mickey and Minnie’s runaway railway both are on digital tracks, if one small piece of paper, crumb, or other debris falls on the track, it will stop it from working and the ride has to be shut down and cleared before they can open it again. It’s not Disney’s fault that some guests are impatient so no, no refund is due. All of the rides came back up shortly after they closed down. Get off your entitlement horse.

Rides that were closed either temporarily or being refurbished last weekend.

Rise of the resistance, the other star wars rides, Matterhorn, Incredibles roller coaster, goofy roller coaster, cars ride, haunted mansion. I’m sure there were others.

    1. Bibi

It’s understandable if a ride breaks down and it takes a couple hours to get it up and running again, however, 4 of the most popular rides break down on the same day? Come on Disney. That is unacceptable and guests should be compensated.

  13. Rachel Winiecki

Yes it Was called MGM Studios. Check your History.

Maybe if Disney was Forced to a Higher Standard of having to begin refunding a portion of people’s money because of constant closings of attractions that in essence folks Are paying for but Not getting that benefit. A ticket seems to be a Contract between Disney and the Customer that Disney promises to provide the expected entertainment. In any other world where that Contract is breached there is a monetary Refund. Maybe if Disney cared about the People half as much as the Bottom Line it might become what folks knew and loved 15 years ago.

  15. JS

Yes it was. It was called Disney’s MGM Studios until 2008 when it was changed to Disney Hollywood Studios.

The fact you were so confident in your answer but still sooo wrong is comical 🤣 a tiny bit of research can stop you from looking like a fool
