I wish it went from the airport to somewhere closer to WDW. While I think this is wonderful, the issue remains of how to get to WDW property. Since the ending of the Magic Express, there has been no easy and cost efficient way to get from the airport to Disney properties. I would love to see a solution for that too!
A monorail that uses two rails…. so essentially a “train?” What on earth will they think of next? Innovation is truly amazing! Who would’ve thought we’d have such advances 100 or even 200 years ago?!?!
Let’s do some simple math using brightline versus driving your car from Miami to wdw.
Let’s assume a family of 4 both kids under 13. Also using the 25 percent savings for groups of 4 or more.
Driving from Miami to wdw is 232 miles. According to Google maps the driving time is 3 hours 37 minutes. If you car gets 30 mpg that’s 8 gallons of gas times 2 or 16 gallons x 3.60 per gallon is $57.60. According to sunpass the round-trip toll would be 49.46. So total cost to drive would be $107.06.
To ride brightline you would have to park your car at Miami Intl Airport at $12 pet day or $48 for 4 days. The total train fare would be $472 less the 25 percent discount or a cost of $354. Plus at least $80 round-trip from Orlando Intl to wdw. T
Plus according to the brightline website the travel time to Orlando Intl is 3 hours 33 minutes. So the train is $482 versus just over $100 to drive. Since there is only a 4 minute difference in time why would anyone take the train.

It’s a high speed train that runs on train track with two rails…it’s NOT a monorail!
Bob
Nice idea, but it’s needs to get closer to the two parks. The price is a bit High.

And I like riding the WDW “monorail” from Frontierland to Fantasyland. Oh wait, that has two rails. Oh wait, Brightline has two rails also.
Frank
The photo is not a monorail nor is it a High-Speed train.
