    Agreed. Good article.

What!? I clicked on this article to see factual news, not something about the race of Rachel Zegler and Halle Bailey. Check yourself…

Also, they called her “Halle Berry”!

    Halle Bailey*

Halle Berry was not in the little mermaid, Halle Bailey was. Proof reading be hard, huh?

Proof reading IS hard, not BE hard. You should have proof read your own comment. 😂

  5. Falyn

It’s Halle BAILEY not Halle Berry lol

They should cast a gay retarded person.

    Lighten up, Kyle.

There’s more to this than some vapid actress getting canned amidst the “writer’s strike”.
I am SURE “the entertainment world” will partake in some “bail-out” similar to what the automobile industry, news agencies & the energy industries get.
Some so-called “billionaire philanthropist” got a greedy eye on it.
This is just the tip of the iceberg.

The tone of racism in this post is amusing. I was genuinely wondering when Halle Berry acted as the little mermaid. Y’all were so excited to hate on her that you couldn’t even get her name right. It’s not surprising considering she was already facing a lot of hate for this role. The least y’all could do is use her actual name. But it’s a “Halle” that is also black so it must be okay right? Ha ha

Firstly, it’s Halle Bailey. Secondly, the link you provides shows the exact opposite of TLM bombing… It made records, so bashing TLM doesn’t even contribute to your argument there. But also, TLM didn’t change the fundamentals of the story; Snow White is planning to revamp nearly everything. I don’t think that’s a fair comparison, especially when you’re making the race factor the most prominent in both movies.

Disney owns this mess. They can’t fix it and dumping more money into it isn’t going to help. Their mistake was calling it Snow White. If the storyline was that good then why not just develop the movie without Snow White and call it something else.

It’s Halle Bailey not Halle Berry. Poor writing

Halle Bailey is actually the new little mermaid…

I originally thought, who cares if a darker skinned person is chosen for Snow White. Then Zegler started opening her mouth and basically trashing the film…”It’s no longer 1937″ and “A woman doesn’t need a prince/man to be strong”. She deserves the backlash and repercussions from her lack of support for a film she is the star of. This movie will flop, not because of Zegler alone, but because of what Disney allowed the producer and director to do to it.

Fire her! She is hurting the Disney brand.

awwwww, did your fee-fees get hurt because you had to see someone imply that cultural mores have changed in the last century? an actress without ~skin as white as snow~ no less? that must have been so traumatic, snowflake 🙁 better start unfounded rumors about it

I just love that she is being replaced, now make an actual Snow-white movie!!! And hire little people, they want jobs!!!

The article misses the actress shooting herself in the foot, hard, with her snotty comments. Turns out she’s not as cute and witty as she sees herself. A Replaceable, petulant child.

  18. Daniel

    Maybe Mackenzie Foy
    Bring back the 7 dwarfs

  19. Mat

Snow white needs to be like it says white as snow, just Saiyan… super Saiyan 😉

Clearly Kyle did not consult with his State Ministry of Propaganda before publishing this story.

Was it poor editing, or Autocorrect being a jerk? It tells me my name is spelled wrong all the time…

  22. Tiff

OK, hear me out, she played Evil Queen daughter in Decedent’s, Sophia Carson.

With all the negativity she said about the movie she should be replaced. If they’re going to do a remake at all they should keep it close to the original script. If they want to make a movie about women being strong and being leaders find a different movie or come up with a new idea. Yes it’s good to see how far women have come and remember how strong they have been in the past but what’s wrong with falling in Love? That’s what’s so great I believe about some of the original movies and Disney princesses they fell in love and they got to have a happy ending, the world’s got enough difficulties going on so it’s nice when they can create something beautiful that people will enjoy and look forward to seeing.

I hope this is true. Now they just need to stay true to the story of my ancestors and pick someone of the appropriate ethnicity. Since those people like to scream about “cultural appropriation”, stop doing it to those of European decent.
