Cancel Culture is hear by CANCELED !!!

      Hear hear!

      1. Dayle Anthony Gibson

You are all aware the article by Ms. Wang is from april 2021, right?

    2. EhCanadian

Giving animal characters a human ethnicity usually results in stereotyped behaviors and language that is more offensive than representative. For example: the Siamese cats from Disney’s Lady And The Tramp, or the Crows from Disney’s Dumbo.

Instead, Bluey uses DOG BREEDS to represent ethnicity in a general sense without any specific human ethnicities – there are Cattle Dogs, Border Collies, Beagles, Labrador Retrievers…

  2. Don

Here’s a tip. Don’t put these people on a platform if your not going to take responsibility for the ire of reactions just to get people aggravated. If platforms like these weren’t involved in movements that divide so many people then they would all just have to get along.

  3. Melody Tran

I dont think this person has watched every single episode or at least watched them with an open mind.

Jack from Army, to many people, seems to represent those with adhd.

The family at the end of Mr Monkey Jocks represents those who may not be well off enough to buy a new toy (she got it from the thrift shop).
And Blueys character is so open ended that she’s just as easily confused for being a boy as she is a girl (my little boy pretends he is bluey all the time and I see no reason to correct him). He also lives to pretend he’s Muffin demanding a tutu in charades (which I also happily give him).

Also, Winston’s dad is obviously divorced (as eluded to in Helicopter) and recently the Terriors mom seems to be a single parent (tv shop).

I think we are forcing politics where it doesn’t need to be. A family of dogs geared to 3 year olds needs to focus on the most important thing, sharing, being understanding of others feelings regardless of differences (seesaw i think is the episode), and understanding our own emotions (badmood).

    1. JJ

Spot on. Also two characters are voiced by Aboriginal actors so there is diversity there too.

    2. AyshM

Thanks so much for putting what was in my head down in such a well written comment 😊

    3. Sarah

There’s also a deaf character in one of the new episodes.

      1. Dan92

I just get fed up of the whole cancel culture theory not likeing sometjong just because you dont agree with it is not right. Look we live in a wprld were your not gonna like everything you see but it dosent mean you have to cancel it it just means you have a diffrent view if you dont like the show then dont watch it simple as but the vas majority of people do like it society should not bend because the small minority complain its not up to their standards of what shpuld be included when the vast majority of people dont even think of things like that

    4. Lulu

      Well said 👏

    5. Christina

Here Here obviously hasn’t watched any

    6. Stephen Smith

Beautifully said, this cancel culture is on a rampage because there not getting what they want in a in anything. I get the kumbaya of everything but there are hundreds of other cartoons that showcase all the things people asking for. Its someones brilliant idea for a kids cartoon show that works and has a lot of hidden gems for adults. You can’t tell an artist that finished a painting why didn’t you add this to it would have been better. Its the artist vision on how they wanted to paint it. If you want your painting a certain way paint it yourself then sell it and if it sells congratulations. Let’s pray and be happy that our kids are being kids and watching a show that they enjoy. A world of dogs living a dogs life.

    7. Samantha

      You are absolutely correct!!

  4. Kris

Seriously! Why do they have to put race into EVERYTHING! It’s about dogs, they are already are of color. Leave the Heelers alone.

    1. Tom

How is it possible that this lady is trying to cast a shadow over this?

    2. Lulu

      Agreed LEAVE THE HEELERS ALONE

    3. Allyson Chen

I keep saying the same same for a long time now. If we start ignoring them they’ll fade away. They have no real voice they have nothing to stand on they have no argument. I don’t know why people keep paying attention to the and giving them some type of validity they have none.

    4. Crystal

It wasn’t just about race she wanted all exclusivity.

  5. Phi

    Judo only has one parent

    1. The Schaef

And Bluey is shown having patience with her bossy temperament because “she doesn’t have anyone to play with”

    2. Lulu

      Exactly 💯

  6. This lady needs to watch the show closer before she gets herself cancelled in other words she needs to check herself before she wrecks herself Wendy is a single parent as is Winton’s mom Jack has ADHD the child in turtleboy is deaf ethnic representation exists in the fact that the dogs are different breeds quit complaining about what you don’t see and enjoy what you do Quit trying to get Bluey cancelled

    1. Kate

Yes!! Most of the things she listed are already there. She’s definitely not a full-time watcher or the show.

  7. Alanna

I swear people are a bunch of Ethan snowflakes complain about this that and the other thing this is gone too far if you don’t like bully you don’t have to watch it go and watch something with your narrow-minded mine and leave our puppy alone

    1. Lulu

      Bravo 👏 👏

  8. tom

Beverley Wang needs to step off and back down. As a disabled person I see bluey as having more than reality has in it. And as far as colour that daft woman is clearly blinded by wokeness and cant see all of the different skin colours on dogs. Plus its a kids show it shouldnt reflect poliyics yah muppet oops thats another kids show I bet Wang has a problem with she needs to keep her woke fake ideologies to herself.

  9. Why does cancel culture have to after anything positive and pure? The society of today is attacking anything and everything to cause further division within communities. It is a travesity. Why do they have to some diabolical scheme behind anything that doesn’t fit into their narrative? Why not let the consumer decide what is in they’re own best interest and the interest by simply not watching or “consuming” what doesn’t fit into their OWN PERSONAL BELIEF SYSTEM?

  10. Amber

I could never see Bluey getting canceled. There’s a variety of animals in this show and I don’t think there really needs to be a political spin out on it. The show doesn’t really focus on money so no need to specify who is poor or not. As for single parents…isn’t Judo’s mom a single parent? I’ve never seen or heard of Judo’s dad. It’s a kid’s show. It’s meant to just enjoy and learn the small lessons from. Enjoy it as it is.

  11. Ashely

    Just…..why…..

  12. Janne

I think Bluey is absolutely marvelous. If I didn’t like it, I would CHANGE THE CHANNEL. Don’t expect that everyone in the world has to share the same view, have the same ideas and believe the same BS.

    1. Crystal

This lady must of only watched maybe two episodes, my girls love this show they are of different color/ races, this show embodies loving each other no matter the color or race. That’s what I want to teach my kids no matter what race, color,or creed they are all people and deserves to be treated kindly no matter of disability or incapability.

  13. Suzie

Keep it innocent. Bluey represents family values and I hope they don’t change that.

  14. Are you serious !!! This is Australians way of life !!!
No way would I want my toddler subjected to this new woke crap
That is going on !!! If you don’t like it don’t watch it go find a show that’s trans / Asian/ bisexual. At the end of the day they are dogs taking on our way of life !! Get over it
Or whatever but leave our Aussie kids out of it !!!. This is our culture and if you don’t like it then don’t bloody watch it !!!

    1. Beatriz

Thank you 👏👏 and many of us Americans feel the same. We love what Bluey represents and teaches. There’s enough “woke crap” everywhere.

  15. Bob

    Blah.

  16. Dutch

This is out of control. Here in the US, blacks, Asians, and Hispanics are OVER REPRESENTED based on their percentage of population. But they just want more and more. It’s not about equality anymore, it’s about equity, which is a huge difference. It’s about the exact same results without having to put in the same work and I’m sick of it.

    1. Ebmo

Can you please explain how Blacks, Asians, and Hispanics are “Over Represented?” I totally agree that Mrs.Wang is creating an issue where there is none and the representation that she speaks of does not make sense in Bluey’s world but, to say these POC are over represented is a bit weird to me. We exsist in everyday life but, aren’t allowed to see ourselves in positions that help uplift our community….is that the take away? Woke culture is real but, in relation to Bluey, I don’t believe it’s needed. As a Woman of Color, I Love to watch Bluey. I don’t have children and I still enjoy it and the lessons being taught within the show come across clearly. Cancel culture needs to go away because it is just another way to judge and divide people soley based on an individuals right to think independently. That’s sick if you ask me. It reminds me of a child who got in trouble and then snitches on others so they won’t be the only one getting chastised. So juvenile. Bluey is great and the only thing I want is more episodes/seasons.

  17. Yvonne

No not Bluey! That is a wholesome cartoon for children. Please don’t start with the baloney. I am so sad that we can’t even enjoy something like Bluey in this day and age. Children do not need to have all that extra thrown at them! Smh!

  18. Jack

Just leave all those identity politics agendas outside of such a cute cartoon…Yes, my family belongs racial minority group in this country (US), but I don’t think my daughters should keep being reminded about that. Sometimes people should be allowed to enjoy watching a cartoon, and maybe living a life as well.

You see what you want to see. Everything you see, is yourself.

  19. Eddie

Sorry to say I think this reporter needs to have her head examined it’s a kids show it doesn’t need to represent current political events. It shows plenty of different kinds of people/dogs and if she can’t see it then she needs to open her eyes more.

  20. James

This may be a controversial take, but if she thinks she could make a better kids show, then do it. Leave Bluey alone, they have made a show that is about a family and all the people (dogs) in their lives. It has been very successful. Leave it. Make your own kids show rather than asking to see your values come out of someone else’s mouth. Tell your own story.

  21. J

Have they actualy watched all of the show or just a few episodes?
As a lot of what is being asked for is already there?

  22. What the f

    This is disgusting.

  23. Sorcha

What she’s calling for is Bluey to be woke. The fact that it isn’t is why it’s so popular. It’s wholesome and agenda free, which is a unicorn in TV today….even kid’s TV.

  24. Cheryl

She does realize they are animals, not people. I agree that representation should be considered as a whole, but seriously it isn’t necessary to hold every show to this ideal, especially not a cartoon. It is also clear she has missed many episodes and seems to have been looking for a way to berate the show, as many do to cause controversy, which doesn’t always help with unity and often divides. There is also the obvious reason; she want to sell her atricle !

  25. Debbie

This is a children’s show, it doesn’t need politics or diversity. They are dogs teaching children how to resolve confict, in this world that you’ve now created I believe that’s enough. Leave the children’s programs alone, my 3 year old grandson doesn’t care about all this other crap, he just wants to laugh.

  26. Melissa

If they cancel Bluey over this BS, I’ll freaking RIOT! Like Oh my gosh it’s a wholesome show about DOGS. Don’t you dare come for our beloved Bluey with your work agenda BS. The messages it contains don’t need to be defined by gender, identity, race, religion, or sex, they are just solid messages and clean fun directed to ALL.

  27. Cameron McElroy

Cancel Culture could fall apart in the future. United States, Canada, North Korea, Taiwan, Ukraine, Afghanistan, Baghdad, Iraq, Syria, The Netherlands, Sweden and United Kingdom may go extinct in the future.

  28. The Schaef

This is why we can’t have nice things.

  29. Tammy

Leave Bluey alone! It is perfect the way it is! Stop trying to ruin a great show by trying to change what is already successful with your idea of what is missing. Nothing is missing.

  30. Rhiana

    What’s next?! POCOYO?!
This is insanity. My son is 8, and we watch this together all the time, Unicourse being a particular favorite along with the Grumpy Gran episode with Muffin. He used to think Bluey was a boy. It didn’t matter. At the end of the episodes, we always discuss a lesson he may have learned.
    I just can’t even anymore.

  31. Tanya

I’m so sick of every single show having to have a political agenda. Its not as if kids dont live in the real world where they will learn all of these things. Kids watching this show are barely 2-4 years of age, give me a break. Leave it alone!!

  32. Tonya

I really enjoy the show and I watch it with my daughter. I really enjoy how it shows how much the parents are very interactive and play with there children. And how important it is to be a family. I don’t understand why people try to change cancel or something when it so good for kids.

  33. Lulu

    👏👏👏

  34. Todd

The sooner this world rejects and ignores the type of people that believe that getting “canceled” should mean anything, the closer we will be to a better society all around.

  35. Angela

I totally disagree with this statement. I love Bluey because there is no politics in it. My two yr old daughter watches Bluey a lot . Politics has no place in children’s cartoons. It’s hard to say what race the dogs are..they are all different colors to begin with. I let my daughter watch Bluey because the creator kept politics out of the show.

  36. Dayle Anthony Gibson

Do Dogs breeds not count as “people of colour”?!

  37. Natalie

Other cultures are represented in Camping episode with Jean Luc and I’m pretty sure the Dalmatians are a single parent family..

  38. Mary

Dogs of color?? Last time I checked all the dogs in Bluey were different colors
    And jack has a disability

  39. Debbie

Leave the Heelers alone. They have to be one of the best cartoons on TV. What other show do you see where the parents are involved in the kids everyday life. My grandson Jace and I love Bluey. ❤️

  40. Tom

*There is literally an episode about a deaf character.

*Every character (family) is of a different breed, therefore different “color”.

    *Different lifestyles.

This lady needs to watch every episode and then rewatch them ((like we all do.) Parents and children alike) and then go drink her coffee and enjoy her day. Leave Bluey alone.

  41. Lisa

Bluey is one of the only shows that I can stand to have my children watch without worrying about agenda being thrown in their face. Its wholesome, its honest with dignity. Seriously love this show because of the fact that they don’t have gender, race, economic status or gay/lesbian content in it or throwing it in their faces. That’s not something kids need to learn about at a young age. Kids need to see and learn creativity, love and kindness as well as sharing. Healthy behavior, how to grow as a human being with grace. When we throw all of the crap the woke movement wants at them you are just teaching them hate and division with their own people. Cancel wokeness not bluey. Because bluey isn’t the problem, they are.

  42. Neci

Honestly it’s a freaking kid show. If it’s not broken don’t fix. Man go sit on a rock

  43. Meika

I love bluey they better not touch this show this show has gotten my 4 year old son who has autism through some days the toys are his got to when he’s having a bad day the show is a great show it’s teaches lessons funny and some type real life so leave the show alone

  44. A. Person

If it’s not broke don’t fix it. Leave it be don’t suck the joy out of this tremendous wholesome show.
