With Hurricane Idalia, Southwest were proactive and sent emails out a couple days ahead to give us the option of booking a different flight. I did for the following day and was able to stay at my hotel an extra night. But I once got stuck in an ice storm in Atlanta heading to Orlando on Delta, and waited on a fourth plane in 24 hours, that waited 7 hours once the door was closed.
