I said goodbye to Star Wars some time around TLJ, when it was made clear they wouldn’t be making entertainment for nerdy dudes anymore. Who knew that the “Desperate Housewives” demographic was into space wizards and light sabers? I never would have guessed.
You’re confusing galaxies vs universes, they aren’t the same thing. A galaxy is a collection of star systems, like our Milky Way galaxy or the andromeda galaxy, our closest neighbor. A Universe contains all galaxies and there is a multiverse theory that states our universe is just one among many other universes, some very close to ours. So your theory doesn’t really make any sense. They are traveling just to a new galaxy in the same universe.
All the Star Trek fans will just love this new galaxy Star Wars where their mission is to explore new worlds, seek out new life and civilization, and boldly go where no one has gone before…
It’s the dumbest idea I’ve heard since making Luke a quitter who fell to the Dark Side again and turned his back on all his friends and family!
I’m sick and tired of you arrogant gate keeping fake fans that trash the sequels for BS reasons. You’re WORSE than the people that trashed the prequels.
The sequels are trashed for perfectly good reasons: they ruined Luke, made everything in the prequels and original trilogy meaningless because none of the victories matter.
Now, if those things don’t matter to you and you love the Sequels that’s wonderful for you. But to dismiss legit criticism just makes you look childish.
Why is this news? Genuine Star Wars fans said goodbye and disowned the Sequel trilogy years ago. As far as we’re concerned, star wars ended at episode 6; not with the “Disney Wars” nonsense…
A new galaxy can’t contain different versions of Luke, Leia, Rey, etc anymore than a different continent on Earth (say Asia) has different versions of the people from Africa.
The new galaxy will just be new races and enemies in a new location.
