I was a full Disney Nerd since 1960-my first visit at 5 years old. Proof? Disneyword: 21 visits, Disneyland:10 visits including a fantastic New Year’s Eve, Disney Paris: once, Tokyo Disney: 3 times (I have relatives in Japan). Now, they seem so unfriendly, everything is becoming closed or trashy, and yet the prices continue to rapidly rise. We always stayed on site at Disneyland and Disney World. It was wonderful! I have a huge collection of Disney vids and DVDs. Now it seem unsafe and not up to past Disney experiences. Done with the whole franchise.
I was at Disneyland California yesterday and it was super crowded even with reservations.
I also encountered a couple of rude persons who pushed their way through the crowds.
People who go there get what they deserve, there are already too many expectations about what to expect, so people need to be surprised or otherwise deterred. I simply don’t get it, and I stay far away from all things Disney, but I was one of the very first people to experience Disneyland, as my dad was an artist and set designer who worked with Disney and helped create many of the original rides, scenarios and even animatronic displays at Disneyland CA. We lived in the park while he was employed there, so we had a unique opportunity to see and experience Disneyland without the maddening crowds! I say it’s past time to bring back the innocence and simplicity that was it’s inherent charm back in the days long past.
I went in 1959, I was 10 with my Grandma and it took another 5 for the next trip. When I took my kids 15 years later still a great day. 15 years later grandkids was ok but something was missing. Now you couldn’t pay me to go and even the firework’s are being eliminated
So someone goes there, with their family, who might have never been, and they deserve to be pushed and shoved by ride guests, experience high closures and inconveniences, and like, hm? That’s basically what you’re saying by your words.
No, people deserve what is advertised for a vacation trip or fun filled day. But that’s becoming less and less the normal now. Try rethinking your words. Visitors deserve the magic Disney once held, and has buried deep there somewhere.
I was…WAS a huge Disney fan. And in one horrendous move by letting Paychaek take the reigns the entire company eroded fan trust and loyalty that was hard earned by walt roy and all who poured thier heart into the brand. If they truly want to save the brand ditch EVERY POLICY CHAPEK implemented get rid of geni+ bring back the original fast pass lower the park prices lower the hotels … get the Ship right. YOU gotta spend money to make money and when you restructure it needs to start from the top and free up some of the money from the highest earners. Chapek should return everything he was paid. But thats my opinion.
So wait, the crowds were too big so theyade all people leave… But don’t they control how many people they let through the gate? Hear me out, maybe fire the person I charge of crowd control.
I still love Disneyland. Yes it can be expensive and crowded, but you can still have lots of fun I don’t spend lots of money in the park except for mainly cost of tickets. I bring in water and snacks . I usually allow one snack to share. One exception was when we went two years ago, and I got my son a couple special drinks in Star Wars Land. We stay at one of the neighboring hotels where the have a full breakfast. That cuts down on cost.
We’re at Disney land paris now and they were not asked to leave at all yea it was crowded but no one can get in and just buy a ticket it’s all controlled online and it’s stopped when it gets too full as the government have set alimit of how many can get in.

We’ll never get the innocent days back, sadly they are gone forever and I believe places like Disney have let us down most!

Lol. This is the same ” reporter” claiming crowds were at a all time low at Disney. Zero integrity 👊

No one was asked to leave. We were there and the crowds were completely manageable in both parks.

Well for all the people complaining it’s fine. Don’t knock the people who still love Disney. Nobody is forcing you to go
