We went to Disneyland and California Adventure on Saturday and Tuesday and the crowds were horrendous. Not a pleasant time at all. Wish it was less crowded like the other parks.

Inflation, Summer heat, credit card debt, economic uncertainty, Disney price increases, less hospitality, woke-ism fatigue, school is back in session and fewer Pass holder perks. That may cover the drop in park attendance.

I think all of those are valid, except for “woke-ism fatigue.” The people who go to Disney to enjoy the park recognize that to be a made up word for use in politicization. No one can even define “woke” other than “things I don’t like.” And getting distracted by people who weren’t spending money for your products already and will now continue to not do so for made up reasons is just bad business…

Not sure where you are at. It’s elbow to elbow where I’m at. And the resort is full and crowded.

Why not be honest and just say it’s too damned hot to be dragging adults and children through the theme parks. It almost borders on abuse. It’s been brutally hot in Europe, also.

Disneyland still packed and guests are miserable!!!
Don’t understand it! Must be the new the new generation attending.

@Disney your prices have skyrocketed during these difficult times and yet you wonder why your numbers are dropping. The average family of four is no longer prospering, instead the struggles are piling up!

You know, that’s right! It’s almost like everything is more expensive. Staff… Electricity… Water… Food… I guess a business shouldn’t raise their prices to continue making money.

If you don’t want a business to raise prices over time, you should argue for government subsidies. I personally don’t think that’s a good idea, but it seems like you do…

I wonder if low attendance has ANYTHING to do with sky high entry fees where a lot attendees simply cannot afford to visit. Not what Walt had intended im sure

If it’s so slow now would be a good time to be a good human and give out free passes to families who otherwise couldn’t afford it I know we could never afford to go

School has already started, and the locals are staying away because of the brutal heat. The busy rides are as busy as ever and the resorts as booked and crowded as ever.

I love the parks but the prices for food and drinks and entry and lodging is simply ludicrous. My wife and I last visited on our honeymoon in 1992 and misplaced our partially unused passes which are good for life. So, once we locate them, we may return. Otherwise, no dice. Too unaffordable. And at times way too crowded too.

Animal kingdom was packed on Saturday. Two hours for Pandora. The parks are not empty even in the photo above, Main Street is packed.

Keep being “Woke” and you’ll end up going “Broke”.

        Thanks for your contribution!

You know that’s not happening, right? The parks are the most profitable sector of the company in spite of DeSantis’s efforts.

We were in Disneyland Paris from Aug 8th to the 12th and the crowds were horrendous. The parks were full with 4pm parade and light shows being at max capacity. You couldn’t move. There were certain “quiet” periods but they were few. So I find this post really hard to believe

We’d never go there again the price/performance just ain’t there anymore.

Lower the prices and you and make more efficient got high in money and maybe would make three more Disney fans be able to come here part I taken a 10 year old dream come true 76 dream true and 41 dream true we were average, Disney, go wars me and my father but once the prices got high, we couldn’t go. Can you make our dreams price that problem

  13. Ggo

Go Woke Go Broke! Prices also have an effect. Family of 4 a grand a day ! Get eeal.

This is a marketing tactic to make you think you’ll have a better experience if there are no crowds.

Walt Disney wsnted his park to be a family experience. No family, without “hocking the farm” can afford Disneyland anymore. I refuse to go into debt for one or two days. So sad because our family used to love Disneyland.

  16. How crowded do you want it? Was in Orlando 5 days last week. Slowest and hottest day, Mine train 90 mins. Peter Pan 75 minutes. Many people from Spain, Italy & Australia. Too hot for this Floridian and typically you would never find me in Parks between May & October. This was a one time thing. Getting out BEFORE fireworks took forever.
I remember in years gone by, laughing at 35 minute wait times, saying no way. *long before fastpass and this Genie & LL*. They made their money on fans, cooling towels, water, dolewhips and such. Typical summer over crowding. Some days any ac or shade area just had crowds of people trying to cool off. Lines for any indoor show that typically is ignored. Getting from one land to another took planning and remembering the “cut throughs”.

    Go woke. go broke.
