I’m a Floridian and also a Disney annual pass holder and go very often. We went Saturday and left this morning and it was extremely hot but we stop and take many breaks and drink lots of water, make sure to have 3 reservations at 3 sit down restaurants for breakfast lunch and dinner, this ensures we have a good decent break in the ac. It was hot though!!!

20 air miles from the Gulf of Mexico I could not take the heat. It’s been over 105 feels like the heat here in South Louisiana. I have had to stay indoors except for quick trips outdoors. No way could I have gone there at this time of year. We were there on Mother’s day and that week. It was hot any hotter I would have gotten a heat stroke even drinking lots of water and lemonade.

I wouldn’t risk going with these record heat levels. In the end, going around theme parks is exhausting at the best of times, so why make it harder by going in the scorching sun, as if paying some type of penance. Plenty of other months in the year, and winter is the best time anyway. Christmas and seasonal entertainment makes the trip extra special. I think with increasing levels of heat in recent years, July and August are definitely becoming the worst months to go. Heat stroke is more common than people think, and it is very easy to get dehydrated, and I know from experience that children don’t always say when they are not feeling the best, and some don’t even like drinking water or staying hydrated. This summer is especially hot and wild horses wouldn’t drag me out there. Anyway, good luck to anyone out this July.
