It does make you wonder. Creating characters that one cannot relate to, stories they know majorities are not wanting or ready for even. They see how it’s going, they need to turn things around if they want to stay afloat.

Disney failures are widely exaggerated. They still are the most profitable company in entertainment. Honestly if Disney failed, the entire entertainment industry would have crumbled first.

Maybe it is part of Wokes & others plan to make Disney fail so that they can turn it into something completely different. Make you wonder!!!

This whole article is a fail.

I agree Daryl. Disney profits are up 11 percent in 2023 from last year. These fans that think Disney is failing, must not be Disney stockholders. My 20 year old just also bought Disney Stock. It’s a great investment. I spent 10 nights at Aulani, Disneys resort in Hawaii in May. It was full. We go every year and booked last night for next year. It is already heavily booked for next year. I was at Animal Kingdom, Jambo House, DisneyWorld, for 4 nights last week. It was full. Next week we are spending a few days at the Treehouses at Saratoga Springs (Disney property, DisneyWorld) with family. If you don’t like Disney because of your religion, politics or taste, just don’t go. Enough other people will be there. Disney will be fine.

Disney is absolutely not fine. Numbers always lie. ALWAYS. Don’t use numbers for anything. Disney is going to be trust busted and broken up in the not too distant future so that means bye bye Marvel, Lucasfilm, Pixar, ABC, ESPN, etc. Disney will learn its place in the world as nothing but an animation studio with some theme parks.

What are you even talking about? Box office numbers for 2022 were very literally the worst they’ve been since 1995. Especially domestically, they’re struggling to find common ground with audiences. Elemental was an objective flop, and the last movie to hit over an 80% score was before Turning Red 2 years ago. The only property they have that’s generating money for them is Disneyland, and if Ron DeSantis gets his way that’s probably not gonna last long either.

That’s not to mention that TLM turned out to be a major flop as well, with overseas ticket sales stagnating and causing it to drastically underperform, or that the MCU is dying a slow, painful death. They’ve lost over a billion dollars over the past couple years to their movies failing to turn a profit at the box office. The thing is, they might THINK they can indoctrinate people into supporting unpopular social causes by cramming them into their movies, but their movies are nowhere near indispensable. People can easily find other, less preachy entertainment to watch with their families.

They’d probably have better luck if they weren’t openly and intentionally trying to undermine the fabric of western society with their cultural marxism. Normal people everywhere find postmodern ideals to be egregious and nonsensical. If objectivity and truth are social constructs, then why should anybody ever listen to anything you have to say? If what you’re saying is false, but it’s “your truth”, then it’s still a lie. That’s the problem with these movies. They get people writing them from the perspective of there being a social issue that is objectively in need of fixing, even if it’s not universally agreed upon that the issue in question exists or is even an issue. When you set out to tell a story and start with that framework, you can’t really be surprised when people don’t respond by eagerly consuming the product in question, especially those who disagree with the premise of the story.

“Modern times differ massively from the past, bringing new situations and cultural shifts. ”

When it comes to story telling which is what movie us are this statement is pure BS. The reason Disney’s films are failing is because they’ve tried to update them for the so called modern audience, an audience that does not exist.

Woke culture part of the issue. We need to have better original content in both Disney and Pixar films. Less agenda. You can’t please everyone but lately it seems there is not a lot of pleasing anyone going on. Prices. I find myself going to Disneyland less and less. Shop Disney products too expensive. I know they have to make money but it had gotten out of control. No special offers on tickets unless you live in California. Why? Do they ever speak to the normal everyday person about issues and the perception of how things really are? Maybe they should.
