I don’t deny money are vital in this game, for example I have bought gems for ~40$ and I’m on a very nice server, no problems from beginning and I deal highest damage in club adventures among a rather good (around 20 in points and 10 in duel/adventure rank) club members. At the same time I must say I don’t have any experience in mobile games, I play it on PC waiting for BG3. So yes, I feel good with money I’ve paid but my good times are nearing end – without any new purchases brutal reality comes very fast. And reality is that this game is very punishing and blocks you on a certain level (10 lvls up or down depending on what or if you bought some deals). So yes, there’s this urge to get some quick boost all the time but after this short period of intense paid growth everyone simply reaches lvl on which everything is the same. Yes, I can pay another 20 or 50$ and I’ll reach higher rank in duels, reach better rewards in forest and have better cards but there will always be a level on which my growth will stop. And although such level boost gives some small profits from forest and duel rewards (really small in terms of one day ~10%?), I think that gameplay will look pretty much the same after a while.
So imho this game is very pay to win – to be the best. But it’s a very good game if you just want to feel a little magic.
