What actually annoys me about this isn’t Disney, but Peter Dinklage (best known as Tyrion from Game of Thrones). He’s the one that raised concerns about this, and then Disney changed it. Which, as a small person himself he’s absolutely entitled to. But he was incredibly hypocritical. He said it exploited people like him. But in Game of Thrones, the entire series it’s remarked about him not being as worthy as his sibling’s because of who he was. There’s “dwarf jokes” and his character makes many references himself. So why it is it ok for him, but not other actors like him? He’s famous because of that show. He certainly didn’t seem to mind how his character was portrayed. I actually heard that many little people were offended by him doing that, saying they should get to choose if they want to take on “dwarf” role, not have it decided for them.
I completely agree. He sure has an opinion once he made his money and fame due to using his size in his role, however let others do the same and he put up road blocks. Kinda a jerk move. Jerk wasn’t my first choice of words.
It is not appropriate to make a film where a Jewish actress tries to eat the heart of a gentile of Colombian and German descent, especially after the remakes made by Woke congresswoman Pramila Jayapal.
It is not appropriate to erase disabled people to avoid “insulting” disabled people, especially not just because of one Woke actor and group from the UK.
