People are nutz when they go there disney use to be for kids now grown ass adults act like idiots what mother do want know she is dragging here kids. . But I have see parents leave there child at there car as they ran to get the tram and then say oh we forgot about him. I swear these r the people need to be banned from the parks

I have been to Disney world a zillion times but never heard of ” Rope Drop ” What is that ?

This is the term for lining up at the gate/rope before the park opens to be one of the first to enter.

It’s the minutes before park opens, Characters are out above entrance, they “drop the rope)” so people can be 1st to get in. People line up an hour before? Not sure why but it’s been a thing forever

Rope Drop is the time, before actual rides open, when the ropes stopping people from entering are lowered so guests may enter. I’m assuming this mother had hold of her children’s hands and SHE dragged them behind her for about 20 feet. Not sure how she could be that oblivious to her children screaming.

….then you haven’t been to Disney World a zillion times……

Nancy, rope drop is when everyone waits at the entrance of different lands in the parks before they open. Cast members hold a rope in which guests stand behind. Once the park is officially open, the cast members drop the rope letting guests in for the day.

      You’re putting me on, right?
Rope drop happens each morning in each park. You’re allowed to a point inside the main entrance (Magic Kingdom allows you up to the castle, for example) – there is literally a rope manned by cast members. At the official opening time, they drop the rope & people begin making a mad dash to whatever ride they want to be on first for the day. Reduces the wait time to almost nothing!

I ALWAYS head to the Swiss Family Tree House, first – otherwise the wait time is excruciating the rest of the day 😏

It’s when you get there before the gates open. They put on a show at the train station to welcome you. Once you’re in the park, there’s a mad rush to the popular rides.

Maybe folkes nowadays need to have a license and take mandatory classes to have children. This lady needs 6 months with Bertha behind bars to think about her actions.

Can’t say my family wasn’t serious about rope drop. Didn’t include getting bloody though. Lol Is odd that a person was “traumatized”. And it wasn’t the person or child bleeding.

  5. Darryl

It’s okay. When Armageddon comes and survival of the fittest is the norm, these people who are “traumatized” will be the least equipped to handle reality and the first to meet their Maker.

“She didn’t know what she was doing?” I’m calling bs on that one.

Right?! Were the kids tethered to her? Was she holding their hands? I’m totally confused. How can she drag them without realizing it?

Nancy….I’ve never done rope drop as my family aren’t early AM people, but it’s when you get to the entrance I believe 30 minutes (maybe up to an hour) before the park’s official opening time for the day. It’s a chance for folks to get a jump on crowds and hit some of the most popular rides before wait times get too long. It’s called “rope drop” because they actually drop a rope when they let people in. The crowd then runs to wherever they want to hit 1st thing.

Clearly a case of being there for all the wrong reasons ⚠️⚠️⚠️ why have children if your primary focus isn’t on their well being 💔

Rope Drop happens when the Park first opens in the morning. They let people in early, but hold them at the Castle or one of the intersections until the park officially opens! They urge people to walk, not run, but….. Everyone wants to be get a short wait on the most popular rides! It’s especially bad when a new ride opens!
