We have stayed at the Fort many times, and always rent their golf carts. They’re not overpriced and sell out quickly. I’m wondering if this new policy has to do with traffic and their small front parking lot. The lot is not large, guests are parking to check in, rent carts, and they also have the WDW buses coming and going as well. It might be creating too much of a traffic jam, or the guests are missing the golf cart drop off? More questions need to be asked.

I get where Disney is coming from on this. If guests use a Disney affiliate, which I’m sure there is some sort of contract involved, they will hold the cart until it can be picked up, should a renting guest be given the boot. Third party rentals may hold Disney accountable for any damage to the rental, especially without an affiliate contract in place.

What happens when their are no golf carts to rent from Disney? People rent offsite because of this.
