I wholeheartedly agree that das is being abused. It’s disappointing that we get the third degree and are even asked questions that shouldn’t be asked at random by CMs which is also wrong. CMs need to be on the same page when it comes to das protocols. My child has a lifelong disability that clearly has no outer physical characteristics and that’s also where CMs need to be trained in as well. Shame on those dishonest guests making it even harder for those of us in the actual das demographic.

  2. I have the DAS pass. Im not going to say why on here, but really I don’t see how it is being abused. You still have to wait…. Just not in the line. Years ago they had it set up so you and your party could walk right on to any ride or get in the front of any Character line. That would’ve not been fair if it was abused. The way it is set up you’re still waiting the same time.

I utilize DAS and find it to be a great improvement over the old “back door” system. And while US laws do not allow businesses to ask for disability proof, there are ways to minimize abuse. If indeed one needs to wait elsewhere, then Disney should NOT allow the DAS holder to ride a different attraction while waiting for the original return time, after all, if you were actually standing in the queue, you could not get out of line, ride a different attraction and then return to the original queue where you left off. Put a “freeze” on the app/band so you would be refused entry until you cleared the original return time. Just a thought. I generally wait in a quiet area, at the bathrooms or getting food as needed but never go to another attraction ride that is shorter or the same wait time.

Good touch wearing the masks, that way you know what party they vote for.
