Funny how Disney was doing very well for itself, until they started getting over the top with politically correct agendas and diving into first into the woke garbage. Go back to original and creative films and maybe they’ll get back to the top.
They have been robbing families for years with their ticket and food prices.this was not the intent of Walt Disney. After he passed corporate control ruined his dream of a family affordable destination..not to mention what the executives salary themselves. GREED.
Falling Disney stocks is a symptom of a much bigger problem. Disney enterprises just got too big and diverse in a constantly changing industry. They are an entertainment cooperation but kept buying outside of what put them on top. For example they own politically driven, media networks and ESPN sports and so much more.
Cooperate Disney forgot the basics! They expected their cash crop (theme park goers) would continue status-quo. They forgot what put and kept them on top.
From the beginning, Disney represented family entertainment and was family oriented, ALL families including all ages, extended family, and yes, today’s new definition of “family” as well.
But cooperate diversified and put profits over what kept Disney on top for decades and now they find themselves in a downward spiral.
Disney’s problem is not politics or social change, though many may want to think so, it is simply that they have priced themselves out of the family entertainment market.
All families want to be together in what little vacation time they have. They want to forget the outside world and concentrate on having family-fun downtime without going broke to do it!! People have wised-up and have realized there are other more affordable places beside Disney entertainment to achieve that.
If Disney is to survive, they need to get back to what Walt Disney himself promoted which is affordable, non-violent, family fun entertainment. That’s what built his cooperation and made it world famous and is what families are still seeking.
I for one, am totally rooting for it!
Very good PGS you hit the nail on the head squarely! I have been saying basically the same thing for quite awhile. But the big question is Disney leadership going to listen to reason or are they going to keep on making more mistakes! Walt & Roy needs to come down and scare the devil out of them. But keep on hitting them!
