  1. I don’t like being charged for the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. The guest is paying alot to get in the parks already. It makes no sense to me .

You don’t have to pay, you will have the option to pay in order to ride it more quickly.

      1. Htk

At the expense of the regular line wait time being increased.

POTC has always been a ‘Fast Loader’. So I don’t see why people will pay to ride it. I’ve been to DLP 5 times and have never waited more than 20 minutes for it.

They have made WDW a place for rich children.. 6k a week for family of 4? They continue to up the price and regular families are left out.. BUT stockholders are happy.. I hope the mouse chokes on his cheese.. What would Walt do!?

      1. Jack

        That’s a complete lie.

Disney just being greedy. already too expensive for middle class families to go without saving for years. The traffic around Disney is horrendous and more and more people moving to Florida everyday. Sorry folks we’re full.

      1. Misterclean33

Florida is full? Full of self loathing Karen’s like yourself. If people are moving there it’s because of the political culture of the state of Florida and you should be thankful as it eases your tax burden. Besides, you obviously didn’t really read the article, did you? It’s Disney Paris.

That Genie pass is a joke. We are here in WDW now. The rides keep going down. You walk back and forth trying to get to your ride at the reserved time. We were called to ride Tron 6 hrs and 45 minutes later. We had left the park. Never go back to Magic Kingdom.

Don’t they charge enough? It’s cheaper to go to on a European tour!

  6. Amber

No wonder Disney park attendance is down, as Disney broke the golden customer rule…don’t F with the customers as they will ultimately F you in the end!

    1. Rroe

      Thumbs up to your comment!!

  7. Carol

Again, a deceptive header. You imply the ride will not be free. Is that true? I doubt it.

  8. Why do you have to pay for a ride when you pay an admission fee. Are they that greedy

  9. Did they grab Capt. Jack’s pistol & shoot themselves in the foot??!! Disney already priced themselves out of my budget. So I’ll never get to go back, oh well!!

  10. Bridgette Arp

This is not right at all!! They are getting to greedy!! They own parks all over the world as well as there own island and cruise ship. It’s not worth it anymore it’s sad that they heads of this corporation are making money hand over fist. They even have turned against the diversity that Disney was founded on. Just like the USA.

Genie is for the people that have more money than sense. The whole experience has become over priced, but it’s still so packed that you can’t even ride all the rides.

  12. People are already charged to enter and ride the rides let alone there are so many supporters of Johnny Depp. You screwed up by jumping to conclusions and then lost him
You’ve jacked up pri es too many times in such a short time. You screwed up changing fastpass. Can you not learn from your mistakes? When you and hotels were filled and didn’t have to offer deals to fill the parks realize that was a perfect way to run it? Most people/companies learn.you have lost this extended family (19+) making yearly visits. We found other places very entertaining.
*To make another buck off Johnny Depp you are running his movies again?! 🤣

  13. Brett

By doing this, it just provides more evidence that Disney doesn’t care about “the magic” at all they only care about the dollar! Now if they got rid of all park entrance fees, I could understand charging for rides individually, but I doubt that is the case!

  14. Alice Marie Hartley

Disney is just getting to greedy. We used to vacation there every couple years. Maybe have to look for something different. I don’t feel Walt would approve of their new ways.

The genie+ seems helpful…but, it has you running all over the park trying to make your time slot. We were just there last week for a family reunion of 28 people. We never could get the same time slots…so we hardly ever went on the rides together. And it became frustrating and exhausting trying to coordinate on our phones. I think if you spend the extra money for genie+ use should just be able to get in fast line whenever. That way you could spend half the day at one part of the park and the see the other half in afternoon. There was so much we wanted to see…but, spent too much time running from one end of the park to another to make fast lane time spots. I’m a senior and had to rent a cart just to try and keep up….we had a 3 day pass and didnt get to go on rides with my family because we were all split up…and wasnt able to see all that we wanted to. A family park should make it easy to ride together and stay together as cousins and grandparents….for these reasons….plus the exorbitant cost of the park and food…it was not the happiest place on earth this time…and will be the last time we and our family will go to disney parks.

I don’t know what to think, we own dvc, and others. I believe or at think, Disney need to regroup, evaluate, and they apply the founding principals they had. Im just sad

  17. Joe

If that happens, I will never go on the ride again. I doubt I could afford the tickets to the park in the first place anymore.

  18. Ginny

Some of us will remember the days we purchased a packed of tickets w different letters on each ticket. I remember the “A” tickets were for the “ big “ rides etc. Maybe that would work. I don’t go on big rides so I wouldn’t want too many “A”s.

    1. Robin

Took the grandkids to WDW last summer and got the genie passes for everyone for 2 of the days. What a waste of money. Even starting the moment reservations opened in the morning, the popular rides would book up so quickly that you couldn’t get a reservation until the afternoon. And since you could only have one reservation at a time, we were only able to use it for maybe two rides a day. Also so crowded that you could barely get around, lines for food were crazy long. Definitely won’t be back again.

Damn right. This is stupid. The last time I went I was 17 I’m 31 today and I never went back to Disneyland in LA anymore. People talking about a 300$ park fee was enough to scare off my parents.

I remember Price used to be 100$.. my mom rembers the price being 45$ and my grandma being 2-5$ Park fee.

Because of the new world’s like starwars and rocket rods are no longer there in LA.

That was how long ago I went to Disneyland.

Infact I will absolutely think it’s funny as hell once Disney theme Parks start taking a hit when everyone else is traveling to 6flags parks….at least they have been staying in the 60$ range and it was more affordable… not being charged 50$ parking fee possibly the tram is going to be 10- 20$ to ride from the parking lot….. and to get into one Park is like 300$. I’m not sure i have not been to Disneyland in a very long time so. At this point seeing Disney wants more money I would not be surprised if walk in fee gets up to 500$.

This is just absolutely stupid business behavior.

Job’s are going to have to pay more if people like us are going to be able to keep up with the rise of prices

  19. LilMissMuffett

Never been there. Never cared to go. Never will even if it were reasonably priced. Just not my kind of entertainment. Rather travel and see the Country.

  20. Chris

They used to sell ticket books so they’ve done it before. No big deal. How many times do you need to ride the damn thing anyway?

  21. Michael

I don’t understand why customers are allowing Disney let people with money cut in front of those that can’t afford the extra cost of the cute in line fee. Disney is ridiculously expensive and overcrowed, and yet they have the nerve to let people “PAY TO CUT IN LINE” while others have to wait longer in Disney’s already very long lines simply because they can’tafford to cheat?! People should be boycotting this company. I have stopping paying for anything Disney. Walt Disney would be disgusted.

  22. Rick Rogers

This is just another step to bring back the old ticket books from Disneyland. They plan on making all the popular rides E-ticket rides. If you want to ride it more than once go purchase another ticket book!!
