Why would Disney remove him, they like perves

    1. Morgan

      Because Bill really isn’t one.

    2. They should hire you Jogy

Perve? Innocent until proven guilty. I am tired of all the women jumping to claim they’ve been violated, but willing to take a big $ettlement instead of having to prove their claim in court.

My experience with Bill Murray was as a fundraiser at his university he got expelled from. Let’s just say that these sort of allegations are no surprise, but before the Internet tries to cancel him, we should wait for evidence and the entire story. Too many men are ruined based on mere allegations.

To true guilty until proven innocent. In today’s upside world anyone can say anything without proof. No more majority rules sad

Thanks Kristen. You were at Regis in the early “70s? I’d like to hear about what he was like when he was your classmate. Or were you there recently and have no firsthand knowledge at all? Your photo seems to suggest that you’re rather young. Bravo for that, for being young, but it’s your own experiences with him I’d like to hear about, not rumors about things that may or may not have happened fifty plus years ago. In particular I’d like to hear about any assault type allegations from back then, things that back up your “allegations are no surprise” comment. That one line negates your less judgemental other thoughts so full disclosure would be nice. Direct us to sources if you can. Thanks.

Bill, has seemed arrogant over the past ten to fifteen years, probably retirement is in order, so no more movies.

  4. Maybe Bill should have played the character Merv the Perv on SNL!
    Not a far stretch!

While doing something like that (if it went down the way the woman says) was something that was unfortunately normalized in the US if not everywhere. Most men, if joking, and face it, Bill Murray has always been a joker, wouldn’t have seen that as doing something wrong. I have been assaulted, and if Bill Murray would have done that to me, it probably would have been traumatizing, but I would have also recognized that he was joking around. My point is, it is unfair to cancel men now,for things they did in their past, when it was a mostly acceptable “norm” when it happened. These men are being punished for being men of their times. Perhaps we should cancel all women who, in the past, have slapped their men while joking. After all, slapping someone unprovoked is considered assault now. Go get ’em guys.

    1. Yeah! Forgive all the slave-owners and lynchers! Their humans rights violations were normal!

Wow, what a completely skewed comparison. If this is how you have to try to make your point, maybe you don’t have a good point to make.

        Are you on drugs?

While agreeing with most of what you’ve said (in my 69’s so I know what you speak of), this happened recently, not then. And since that behavior has been deemed unacceptable, he should not have done something like that, even if as a comedian and as a joke.
Al Franken suffered from his past; and that wasn’t even close to what these allegations are. We are in different times now; time to change the behavior.

His character felt just completely thrown in there. I know it’s an unpopular opinion, but just deleting scenes for the sake of runtime when a film already has a relatively low runtime seldom does much good for the film, you can often tell when important moment were cut out and it fees choppy. Reducing a 2 hour film by 10 minutes isn’t an excuse to make a film choppy. If it was really about what was mentioned above, seeing how it’s Disney, I’d be surprised if they didn’t cut him entirely, so more likely than not, it was about runtime for the sake of runtime when the film was already short for MCU standards.

Bills idea 9f comedy is different from others. None of us know all the details so no reason to judge or otherwise assume his role was cut from any movie. Comedy has changed and some of the over sensitive types should accept his humor for it’s merits. I’d never promote any assault, but I feel this is somewhat sensational before it’s time.

  7. Bill Murray makes a movie better.

So Disney will remove someone from a film for sexual allegations but have no problem promoting sex & gay sex to your kids. Wow

    1. Chad

      Lmao you people are insane.

      1. Anon

There is literally footage of a video call with a Disney executive talking about her “not so secret gay agenda”, so, no, people aren’t insane for believing a company is pushing social propaganda on kids.

    2. Tomlin

EXACTLY! I stand with Bill Murray.

    3. Jim

The alleged act was male on female. That goes totally against the agenda Disney wants to push on vulnerable youth. If the allegations were that he did this to a male while in drag, he would probably get his own Disney+ series.

  9. Aegreen

Well then since they removed him from the antman movie or shrunk his roll I’m glad they are losing so much money

  10. Sarah

Ah yes, another example of Disney Double Standards. Not saying he’s innocent or guilty, but looking at his entire comedic history, this style could easily be a an old bit of his, he’s always done grotesque things.

  11. Jan K.

Well, look what Disney did to Mr. Depp and then found out it was all lies! Always a cut them off at the knees and then after they find out they are wrong they try and reconnect the legs! But if he was woke, they would have increased his part in the movie!

  12. Eaa

Disney is no longer family friendly.
    “Go woke, go broke.”
Just ask pud lite and tar gut.

Seriously save the hate speech for hillbilly rednecks not civilized people

I knew Bill well years ago. Great guy. Smart, funny (obviously), and risk taking when it came to pushing the funny envelope. These recent allegations seem to fall into that risk taking category. And as he’s said himself some things just don’t pass anymore, not in today’s socially correct landscape – a landscape that he doesn’t reject, just one that he has to get used to.
As for all those that seem intent on condemning him I can only say this. The world is full of mass graves that many so called revolutionaries have filled. Please, let’s slow down a bit guys, social norms move on but the people need a little time to catch-up.
