Bob Gale has only ONE thing on his calendar, everyday for the rest of his life. It reads: Don’t Let Them Reboot BTTF.

Steven Spielberg has a similar item in his calendar. It reads: Don’t Let Them Reboot Jaws Or Touch E.T.!

I don’t think so,the answer is no.If he hasn’t made that clear enough he is now;and no means no.After saying no repeatedly and still so many keep asking and don’t respect his decision is the reason he had to make such a descriptive answer. In part 3 that decision was made clear at the end and as far as the Back to the Future franchise will go.That’s it I knew that back then.On another note Jurassic Park was awesome and they took way way way way way way way way to long to start up that franchise and was a huge disappointment.I’m not nowhere as disappointed not even remotely close with only the 3 movies as I was with the long hiatus of a sequel to Jurassic Park.Flight of the navigator is another movie that I feel should have had sequels.Ya know when it comes to movies we really are stuck with the people that have this incredible access to make movies. There’s not enough people & creativity in Hollywood were left with the same people making all the decisions.

I dont see any way to do a BTTF 4 movie. Maybe with AI graphics for the characters (actors) but even then, expectations are too high.

There is already technically a bttf 4 and it’s the game by telltale game. The story is pretty nice for a sequel and you even got christopher loyd reprising his role as doc and michael j. fox doing voice in it. It might not be the cinema experience most people want but its pretty close

It’s not actually MJF doing the voice, but Lloyd did his. And Gale helped with the story. So yeah, that’s as close to part 4 as we’re going to get.
It didn’t quite have the feel of the movies though unfortunately.

AJ Locascio does voice-over for Marty (quite well actually), but MJF does do cameos his future self as well as William McFly, his great grandfather.

Back to the future is amazing because it is. There is virtually no way to recreate that. There isn’t a formula and no amount of money will make it work. It was at the right time, with the right people, with the right circumstances.

I’ve seen the musical version and it’s great fun! It’s different enough to be it’s own thing, but also affectionately parodies the original film.

I saw the BTF musical on Broadway and yes, it’s (for the most part) a word for word restaging of the first movie. But, here’s the thing: the times that they do divert from the movie are clever, witty and quite satisfying. The audience loved it and you will walk out of the theater hoping that they make musical versions of part 2 and 3…

Gib me’s a black to the future where Marty is a ghetto pimp and played by Chris Rock and the professor is super pimp played by OJ Simpson.

I go see that movie in my purple Cadillac

No doubt it they made a sequel it would’ve been all woke with “Maddie McFly”

Back to the Future was and still is my absolute favorite movie. They got lucky with the trilogy and I feel there is no more to say. Let’s respect the creators wishes and just continue to get lost in the three movies made. If you are really a fan of the movie + story, you know what I’m talking about. Also, everyone knows the results from prequels and origins movies made decades later. They absolutely will take away the luster from the three original. DONT DO IT………..PLEASE DOC!!!

If you truly want to see a sequel by the back to the future video game that has everybody back and all the original characters playing the voices. It’s an interesting twist and it’s fun. Available on PS3 and PS4

I would absolutely not see it. I’m personally sick of reboots, remakes and unnecessary sequels to already great movies or trilogies. STOP IT.!

BTTF III wrapped up the story. I can’t fathom anything else to add to the story. It’s been more than 30 years since the third movie, that has been more than enough for anyone with creative chops to come up with a plot for a 4th film. And there have been plenty of suggestions from diehard fans. Nothing has been compelling enough to gain any traction. Maybe a comic book series could add small stories to the mythos? As tragic as MJF’s Parkinson’s diagnosis is, a comic book series could have Marty, Jennifer, Doc, Lorraine, George, and Biff; all still in their prime. Or maybe explore Marty Mcfly Jr’s runins with Griff? Bring in Jules and Vern as well. New characters, new dynamics. Heck Needles could be included. It would be a great way to introduce kids to BTTF.

I would never want to see a BTTF 4 movie without the original Marty & Doc and the rest of the fantastic cast! As for a reboot that’s a non starter for me as well. Other actors no matter how talented they are could ever recreate the magic of the BTTF movies that I still love to watch now.

This isn’t really “news.” Gale and Zemeckis have spent 30 years adamantly saying there is no chance of another feature film. We have the mostly forgotten animated series, the TellTale game, and now the musical. The TT game is the closest we will get to a sequel, the Broadway show the reboot. And I can assure you that the vast majority of true BTTF fans have absolutely ZERO desire to see anything more from the franchise in regards to sequels or reboots.
