Why with almost every ITM store do we have to get a constant reminder on how many park and hotels there are? Is there a minimum word count that must be met before a story can be published?
The longer the story, the more ads that get served. So they bury the lead forcing us to scroll through more. I just don’t understand why they dig out a story from 2014 when there’s so much more happening with Disney currently.
Yeah it’s pretty much standard to skip the first 3-5 paragraphs and the last 1-2. They practically always say the same Exact crap. Stories in the middle. Like they were very poorly taught English majors that don’t ever too far off the template.
My daughter and I were running to catch the tram on rubber sidewalks. We had rubber sneakers on too. We both tripped and skidded rubber on rubber and fell. My daughter had facial scrapes and I injured my knee. 30 years later my knee still hurts from that fall. We should have sued but we didn’t.
My son flew off a slide and badly hurt his back we called medical assistant and just told to take it easy . We reported incident and told them we could not continue with day in park and had to leave early .we were assured someone would be in touch . still waiting 10 years on . His back was damaged and had to get medical treatment when we got home .
Accident? No, but I did have to bail out of Splash Mountain at Disneyland to prevent one.
I’m a big guy. We’re supposed to go in the very back of the log, where there’s more space. But for some reason the operator had me get in the front. I’m carefully getting settled in, when the operator starts the ride. The motion made me suddenly sit all the way down… with my right leg folded and my sandal (strapped, not slip-on) stuck on those little ridges you’re supposed to put your feet in.
To make things worse, my shinbone was on a hard ridge. A good jolt, and it was snapping in two. Like that big drop, I was thinking.
I shifted around, trying to dislodge my foot and unfold my leg. No luck. I’d have to stand up, not safe at all.
Then, on the right, a flat open spot. No animatronics, no scenery, just a ledge. I bailed.
As I sat there clutching my bruised leg, a voice from nowhere. “Are you okay?” The Mouse is always watching. I gave a thumbs up, not knowing where the camera was or if there was a microphone. Within moments a cast member was there, to help me out of the backstage area. A brief explanation and a brief display of a forming bruise, and I was on my way, with a “front of the line” ticket if I wanted to ride it again later.
Wow. It’s like you’re supposed to keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the boat or something. I know this is an old story, but proves that even a safe looking ride can be unsafe of your not careful and not listening to staff.
I have never seen an accident at Disney or been involved in one..I think they are taking a lot of bad publicity..It’s an iconic tradition..I am not a fan of wokeness and don’t agree with the hate on both sides of the political Isle..It has always been for families and of course many of the staff have alternative lifestyles…I just don’t need want it rubbed in my face..The golden rule means treat others the way you want to be treated..Any special treatments or reparations simply cause division..And I don’t support this behavior..ever.,.Hey have you seen a straight pride parade before?.Many jobs being lost..keep your private life private!!!!!
Wow that crazy that it happens yekks . Why risk your well being . I feel for the people , but they took a risk want you constantly hear them saying it throughout the ride so people don’t forget .
This is ridiculous. It’s a theme park. The designers know they have to design against children losing body parts or life. In basic training we had to traverse the night infiltration course. There were machine guns and explosions. A trainee could stand up in the middle of the course and never be harmed. Go ahead and promote lawyer stuff for the money.
1. That is no ones fault but his own , everyone before it goes are told to keep their hands in the boat plus no pictures , if he did not follow the directions which he was told , that is no one’s fault but his own .. If he could not follow the directions which was told before the boat went off .. It is no ones fault not even Disney’s he was the one who broke the rules ..

When I was 8 or 9 I almost fell out of Thunder Mountain Railroad. I was super skinny and My Mom was bigger than I, obviously adults are, they had me get in the cart first and then my Mom. The bar that holds you in did not touch my lap. It secured my Mom but not me. The side did not have a door, as we went around the hole in the middle I was hanging on for dear life. My Mom was hanging onto my hands, I was going to fall out, my bum was out of the cart getting dragged out by the force of the ride and gravity. It was not a good experience. I will never ride that ride again and have not since. We did not get compensated or anything because of it.
I bought a frozen fruit popsicle that stuck in my mouth like the kid in Christmas Story had his tongue stuck to the flag pole. At first it was funny, but by the time I was able to get it out, I lost almost all of the skin in my mouth!! It even took off tastebuds from my tongue!! I did let the sales person know NOT to sell popsicles to any little kids before letting them thaw out a little bit. For the next 5 days I suffered from an extremely sore mouth and tongue!! NOT a fun way for this gramma to spend the rest of my vacation!! I was just glad my special needs grandson didn’t get a popsicle!!

Omg I was thinking the same thing about all that history, that most of know, took 3/4 of the video. It felt like an advertisement.

You all need to get to the point in the first paragraph, not the 19th.

Just curious, I’ve rode Pirates in Aneheim and in Orlando and am wondering what hazards are in there that would take your fingers off.

Probably came too close to Captain Jack Sparrow.

why did he have his Fingers outside of the Boat, when everyone is meant to have their Hands and Fingers inside the Boat at all times

It’s a sad day when people don’t follow the rules and then blame Disney.

Keep your hands and feet in the vehicle at all times.

Why do we have to always read negative things about disney and in this case we have to go back to 2014.
Trish Suvino-D'Anna
?. I was looking for other comments. Is this a real story or something from the Enquirer?
Kelly
Yes..on the ride where jaws comes out of the water and a fake type explosion occurs..the heat from that burned the hair off my arm! Crazy!

Bringing up an accident in 2014 that happened because of the “rider” careless… Please!
Suzy
Who would want to put their hand in that water anyway? Follow directions and you shouldn’t get hurt. Duh!!
