Cruise has been rumored for Green Lantern for quite some time. But, he not getting any younger, so maybe he will end up being Jonathan Kent (Clark’s Dad.).
While bringing Cruise would be a draw it also means it will be expensive if Cruise is to play a recurring character like Robert Downey JR did. Unless Cruise just wants to do it and is willing to work for much less than he can otherwise get this really isn’t a good idea unless he’s not going to be a regular character. Somethin they could do is cast him as Martian Manhunter and after 1 or 2 movies the Human persona (which would be Cruise) of The Manhunter could be changed to someone else because that human persona has somehow wound up on Interpol’s most wanted list and thus he has to use a different persona.

I doubt it, he’s a bit older and with the dcu trying to go younger it doesn’t seem like a good fit, however the dcu needs all the help it can get.
