Sounds like a petulant child. I understand that the prices are very high and lines can be long and the weather in Florida can be bad. I live in Orlando, have been to Disney and waited in line. That does not mean that because you decide you don’t want to wait in line and 5he weather is bad, that you get a refund. That would be like eating a portion of your meal and saying I didn’t like the plate it was served on or the table I was seated, so I want a refund.

    1. Sounds like a spoiled child to me. If you know anything about Disney you know there WILL be lines, hot weather and crowds. Make the most of it and enjoy.

      1. Kat

I am a Florida native and have been to Disney more times than I can count throughout my lifetime.
What use to be a place of magic has turned into a dilapitated, run down park.
I went for my final time a year ago. The hula dolls in the once beloved small world were shedding their skirts in a pile on the floor. The smell from the once clean water was enough to gag. Rides shut down for repair. I mean I paid full price and both Splash mountain and Thunder mountain was closed that day. Well, gee, let’s get our monies worth and take a $125 ride on the teacups. No Disney character out taking pictures with guests. It’s a far cry from what it was in the 70’s. It’s a tourist trap. They practically have to beg Florida residents to attend.
Shut it down, year it down or move it I say. Won’t no one miss it except for the tourist. Make Florida great again!

        1. Christine

          I agree💯

          1. Sandy

Absolutely don’t get what you paid for but a full day of frustration not worth it.

        2. Ronnie

If they move it. We are gonna have a stayed income tax. Sounds like you don’t mind less money in your pay check. That’s a little odd.

        3. Ed

Only sad thing is without those tourist your state would probably be pretty broke. Also as it’s driving everyone out of your state except white repubs your probably ok with that. Once your economy is gone you’ll be looking for a successful white state to live in. Mexicans won’t even drive trucks into the state anymore.

I attended all 4 Disney parks in Florida during the 2nd week of June. I was there with a middle school educational travel program, so I didn’t intend to have AS MUCH fun as I could’ve with no chaperoning duties. I should also mention that I grew up in SoCal and was a Disneyland regular. All this being said, I could not believe how horrible the experiences were for the students and myself. I am only glad that as a chaperone, the cost for tickets were not out of my pocket. All 4 parks were way overcrowded, too high priced, the lines were ridiculous even when spending extra for Lightning Lane passed for regular rides ONLY! All the “newer” separately charged Lightning Lane rides (Guardians, Star Wars, etc) had issues with things like virtual queue waiting times or just complete lack of operation. Add to all of this the fact that IF ypu decided to spend the ridiculous amounts for the parks food and beverages, you 1st had to make a reservation for table service at most of the places hours ahead of time, but you were also charged a reservation fee. Gone are the days of walking up to a food vendor establishment and ordering AT THE TIME you were hungry and then looking for a place to sit outside of said establishment. With all of the long waiting in lines already for rides (even with paying extra for Lightning Lane passes), God forbid you weren’t able to make your table service time because you were trying to actually enjoy the attractions that you came to the park for in the 1st place. We were very lucky that none of our days at any of the parks had bad weather or who knows if we would’ve even gotten in 5 rides total over all 4 days. This was such a disappointment. Add in all of the screaming & crying children who were, in all reality, too young to ride any of the rides let alone remember the experience later and their parents who drug them out into the hot Floridian Summer sun & heat, and the experience became less enjoyable than a root canal! Disney NEEDS to figure out some things before I will ever consider returning EVER AGAIN! This was also the general consensus of the 41 students and 6 other chaperones who were on the trip!

          2. Patti

That’s hilarious. FL has the largest amount of Hispanics on the Eastern Seaboard! My DIL is as well. Media lies about racism here, and defamatory remarks about Floridians. Not nice.

        4. Lisa

If Disney leaves so does our economy. Orlando would be practically a goust town. Hotels , restaurants, gift shops would have to shut down. Universal and sea world would not be able to keep everything open. So if Disney leaves I hope you are prepared to pay even more for taxes and utilities then we are paying now

    2. DIZNE ED

      Good riddance!

    3. I refuse to go there again, if you spend hundreds for air fair hotel and all day park passes you deserve to ride more than one ride in 6 hours.

      1. Dan

No matter the situation or complaints….if the customer is not happy with the product they deserve a refund….Disney is getting desperate for money and will to steal it if need be…..I personally refuse to go there…..they need shut down if they ask me

        1. Jeanne B

If Disney shuts down, all of us living and working here will be hurting. That would be awful. They are the largest employer in our state. Our economy would crash. Are you nuts? Your suggestion is whack!

          1. Jim

            GO WOKE.
            GO BROKE.
            Where is their fiduciary responsibility.

        2. Keith Sudziarski

You need a hug from a giant mouse!

        3. Nia

They don’t need to shut down

        4. Ed

That’s old school service. The customer is always right no longer exists. I’m happy about that too because the customer is right maybe 5% of the time and are usually just cranky people who got less then they expected should of did more research. There will come a day where people won’t be able to do chargebacks on credit cards very soon without presenting loads of documents and evidence.

      2. G Y

You get to the park when it first opens and before the crowds….or you don’t go in the middle of vacation season…poor planning.. hate crowds as I’ve gotten older so I plan

      3. Eliza

Again it’s called knowledge. I go in October, lower crowds, weather is cooler. Don’t people know how to use google??

        1. Ed

People who actually know how to use Google are smarter than 90% of the population cause the other just ask questions on Quora Instead of just googling the answer.

      4. Timapno

You do ride more than 1 ride every 6 hours. I was there for 6 hours and we were on 10 rides. Not bad considering it was the high time. If you don’t want lines come in the off season and come at night. I remember when Spacemountain was still around we were able to get off and get back on right away at night. We rode it 9 times. We would have gone until the park close, after 9 times we were nauseous. We went to another ride (I don’t remember) and rode it 5x st night.

      5. Susie

I’ve been to Disney hundreds of times. I live in Florida and began going when they first opened. If you only went on 1 ride in 6 hours, I do not understand this. What were you doing the other 5 hours that you weren’t waiting in line. If you don’t like the long lines and the hot weather, then don’t go and quit complaining!

    4. Several things have change at WDW. Among them is the long-gone fast pass of the past and adopting the Universal Studios’ elite paying model. Everyone used to have the same free opportunity to use a pass.

      1. I’m a time share owner from day it was a great deal ! But as I listen to these comments they come from people that have annual discount park passes and gold club passes because they live in Florida and can go 365 days a year and spend any money where as I family once in a life time trip their spending thousand of dollars and get screwed because of the false advertising and the second class quest attitude from help ! Its suppose to be a fairy land for KIDS NOT AND ADULT THEME PARK !

        1. Patti

          DISNEY is for Everyone!
          NOT just kids!

  2. David

People like that are just looking for freebies. They probably fully intended to figure out a way to get their money back before they even left from home. Disgusting conduct. And pathetic that all they could come up with was “I don’t like lines” and “my luggage would not fit in my room” – how is that even possible??

    1. Dot

I’ll bet that guest was from France. They’re very hard to please.

      1. Chris

        🤣

    2. Ed

Exactly he’s been planning it all from day 1. But people will finally realize the customer is always right no longer exists because of people like this person.

    3. Brooke

We are passholders and just there for 4 days. Also, I go because I have a child. I am not an adult trying to recreate my childhood like I feel some of these people are doing. That is why I think it’s more crowded now.

  3. Max

I have been to WDW several times at different times and always allow for the brief rain showers about 4pm daily. It’s just a thing

    1. Robert

If you don’t live in Orlando or even Florida and you travel long distance and spend alot of money only to have to wait in lines and get rained on can be frustrating. What he is having is buyers remorse. I understand his frustration and that’s all. I feel many people should start considering all the above stresses before buying.

    2. AA

I actually just recently got back from my honeymoon at Disney and planned everything without a travel agent but I even knew what to expect. I mean come on, first it’s Disney there are going to be lines and everyone should know that it’s hot there during this time of year. It’s absolutely unacceptable to even think that a refund should be given because of those reasons.

      1. Lynne

Just looking for a refund based on ludicrous reasons. Blaming everyone but himself.

  4. Rita

He just wanted a free vacation and figured if he dredged up enough complaints, Disney would pay him. To me, he’s the thief not Disney.

    1. John

      Agree 100%

    2. John

I have visited WDW numerous times beginning the opening weekend in October 1971. I remember the days when it cost $5 for general admission and ride tickets were purchased separately. On our last and FINAL visit a few years ago, it seemed like everywhere we turned Disney had their hand in my wallet fishing out more money. It was particularly disheartening since many of the attractions were ancient.

      1. Edk

How is that relevant to this story at all?

    3. GiFogs

For sure, 100%. WDW is called the happiest place on earth for a reason. A person looking for issues will always find them, regardless.

      1. Debi

Poor planning on Individuals part. We stayed at Art of Animation in March 4 adults, plenty of room for luggage. Weather was in 90’s. Crowds were heavy. Did we complain? Absolutely not. We enjoyed the time we spent at parks. As far as price, what hasn’t gone up. Looking forward to our next trip

        1. Sherri

It’s plan plan , plan, when going to Disney . Definetly need to do your homework. There are ways to handle the weather. I hate being hot and we go in September . Do research and find out the strategies to stay cooler. This is pure ignorance thinking you won’t have to wait in line or not knowing Orlando is hot many months. We will go to the parks even in the rain. Your at Disney ! Enjoy it !

  5. Anne

I stay at the Art of Animation most of the time because of the space to accomadate a family and luggage. When you go to the Park you know there are long lines and weather can change in a flash.

  6. Peg

Legit complaint if you never have been to the park. With that said I try to go when the kids are back in school. In September Florida resident prices are still low and the heat is not as bad as in June-August and not as crowded. No weekends. I’m 64 years old but still a kid at heart. Disney just need to keep it clean from predators and out of politics. Keep it family friendly and respectful.

    1. Jarek

IT’S A LEGIT COMPLAINT BUT IT’S NOT A LEGIT REASON TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK

      1. JP

        Disney is a hustle.
A family of 4+ could easily spend thousands of dollars between flight, hotel,
park tickets, meals, etc. Then add weather, bugs, crowds, excessive lines, limited access to rides due to lines, etc., it makes one wonder why anyone goes to Disney at all.
No travel agent is going to warn a family of all of the above, the family would never book the trip.
Can totally understand why a first time traveler to Disney would be highly disappointed.

    2. GiFogs

Who are referring to as predators? That is a strange statement. and politics comes to their doorstep every day thanks to DeSantis. I’m thrilled that Disney takes a stand against prejudice and hate, aren’t you?

      1. sweetp0618

        Absolutely!

    3. Kurt

Peg, you pegged it… Park the woke junk and just leave everything else to ones imagination!!!

    4. Sw

What do you mean by predator? Like lions in Animal Kingdom?

  7. Mad mike

Disney are the theives. I live in central florida and i will never go back there. I would rather gouge my eyes out.

    1. If you need some help with that eye thing, I would be happy to help.

    2. GiFogs

Mad Mike, what an appropriate name. 🙄

    3. Sherri

Then don’t go. That’s easy enough.

      1. Lynne

Just looking for a refund based on ludicrous reasons. Blaming everyone but himself.

  8. Mad mike

Disney sucks. I will never go back.

    1. AG

      Mike is mad.

    2. Good nobody wants you there. Please stay home

      1. Sherri

        😂😂😂😂

  9. Harry

I think the cult of Disney is out of hand. I agree this person should have done there homework. To this person’s credit the line wait time is out of control. When you take your 5 year old to a carousel and it’s a 45 min wait there is a problem. The bottom line Disney should have built a 5th gate years ago and people should demand better service for their money

    1. GiFogs

Seriously? Just go when it’s not busy then, it’s easy. We went in December and didn’t have to wait for any ride and it wasn’t hot either.

  10. John

It seems to me that his comments were unwarranted, and that he is just basically a troublemaker looking for a free ride and probably complains about everything in life

Go home traveler apparently Disney is not for you

  11. Todd

Also don’t get me started on how they have gone from one of the best employers to work to on of the worst places to work based on employee treatment, pay, and benefits. The only people who are reaping the benefits of all these price hikes in the last years have been the stake holders and owners, they have stripped the great pay and benefits from the employees while increase thier profits and never losing any of thier benifits. stripped career employees out of Promised retirements and benifits. I could go on but this will most likely get deleted due to the truth of what I post.

    1. Steve

You Are Talking About Employee Topics. This Isn’t About The Employees. This Story is About A Guest And The Services and Atmosphere Within The Park.
      Stay On Topic.

      1. Jim Ash

Services and atmosphere are dependent upon employees.

    2. GiFogs

Oh yikes, sorry to hear that. I was unaware of all that.

    3. RickTR

I bet if you learned to spell you could get a better job

  12. Mich

“And as if that wasn’t enough, the Guest continued complaining about his luggage not fitting in his room. “It wasn’t even a budget Resort. They were staying at the Art of Animation.”

Ummm, while the word budget isn’t used, AOA IS a value resort. Tomato, tomato.

    1. Larry

You couldn’t pay me to go there.

  13. Steve

PUHLEEEEZE, people. Take the input from people who BTDT and make your own choice. And don’t criticize other people for their choice. It’s not a dump, but it isn’t your Daddy’s theme park any more.

  14. Paul

Probably an “influencer” who didn’t get comped. They all feel that their “influence” is worth something. Like Disney needs their tic tock to attract people. I definitely agree that the price is WAY too high and the experience has suffered in the past few years but being that they knew what they were getting at the price they were paying no refund is necessary. And how much luggage did they bring? Probably figured that they would be able to get a larger room at no extra cost because they are “entitled” to it. Your not entitled to anything. If it bothers you so much don’t come back. We won’t miss you and neither will DISNEY.

  15. Alexander Robinson

To a point I agree with this guest. The parks are regularly over capacity. Rides breaking down. Outdated rides. Waiting 2 / 3 hours in an outdoor line with no water fountains is unacceptable on health grounds. Tickets food and drinks are overpriced.

    1. Disney been bank rolling for years under some tax law that was granted. And then charge its visitors an arm an a leg. It is kind of robbery in a theoretical way on Disney Worlds part. Surprised more people don’t get on line behind this guy.

      1. Sherri

Nobody is saying that it’s not hot and there aren’t long lines. If these things are bothersome to someone they just should stay home .

    2. Cedric

      Agreed

  16. Linda

We used to visit Fl frequently when my mother lived there- saw it grow from 1 to 4 parks. We used to stay at the Yacht or Beach Club. Now they are too expensive. I am taking my daughter, son-in-law & grandson in October. Summer is not the time to go to FL!!

    1. CW

RIGHT??? 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ My 15 year old daughter is going to WDW this summer! Her friend invited her! All we have to pay for is her airfare and food! Her friends parents are paying the rest! I told her summer is NOT when you want to go to Disney, but she won’t listen! 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️

    2. GiFogs

Exactly. Don’t go in the summer, duh, right?

    3. Snow

When i was younger, in the 80’s, my dad use to take us every year there, we always went in later part of April, when spreak breaks were done and kids usually back in school, it was always perfect weather and lines were great then. We stopped going about when part of Epcot was built, as we were kind of growing out of it..probably would have continued if they had universal back then, we took our own kids there for christmas one year and it was great then too, we just learned what time of day was best to go, but lines were not that bad there either…

  17. Job

All I can say is GOOD LUCK in getting a refund.

  18. JD

Definitely not the same thing. Disney has long lines, the weather may suck but half the rides are down so what are we paying for? You living in Orlando is one thing. But people who use all their vacation time from work pay to travel and lodge then the tickets to get in there is a big difference. Also to say eating some of the food and then not liking the plate is not a good comparison to what’s going on. That’s like them advertising a 36oz porterhouse steak with 2 sides a salad and a desert. So you drive to the restaurant. And you go to order and they are out of deserts and all the sides but one and their out of lettuce to make salads. Then it takes two hours to get your food then you try it and it’s not even good so you complain. Because you get two sides but if the same side no salad and no desert but they want to charge the same amount. However the rain part we all know it rains every day in Florida between 3:30and 4:30 for 15-20 minutes then it dries up and the sun is back out. Which I like because it cools it down. Weather is not caused by Disney. However rides being down aren’t intentional but since they own them it falls back on them as owners. Specially when a quarter to half the rides are down and then whole places are shut down like blizzard beach just to name one. But when you booked your trip a year ago or less it was up and running. They didn’t have no notifications that they would be shutting down the park etc. They don’t decide the day of they are shutting down rides or parks for remodels or new rides when they decide it’s planned out.

    1. MrsBat

We have friends who’ve been going to Disney for 30 years. They’re vacation club owners and stuck with that. They are Florida residents and used to go to the park frequently during the year but they’ve pretty much stopped thanks to Disney’s woke agenda. They went recently and told us the park was almost empty. It was also a mess with rides breaking down. People are now rude. I won’t ever go back. I’ll give my money to Universal and there are other events in Florida, such as the Aquarium in Tampa, that are more pleasant and enjoyable.

      1. Paul W

Can you explain exactly what “woke” means? I’ve never seen a viable definition. It just seems to be one of those buzz words that come up when people talk about things the one using the word doesn’t want to hear or learn about.

        1. sweetp0618

I agree. As I understand it, woke people care about others and are egalitarian. Unlike unwoke people who care only about themselves and their (far-right) conservative agenda that support taking rights away from others.

          1. Jim Ash

The woke seem to feel a need to corrupt children. That’s why it doesn’t belong at Disney or in schools. If you want your children to learn how to perform sex acts, then I guess woke looks good.

        2. Zapped

Doesn’t woke mean you have your eyes open to what is going on around you. As opposed to shutting your eyes and pretending things are the way you dream they should be. Anti woke should become the new dreamers.

      2. Christine

        I agree 💯

  19. Sam

I agree with the “theft” reference considering what they charge but most people like me are smart enough not to waste money on such things. I live an hour away and have only been there once, on my grandsons birthday. Even if you run to get in line you would be lucky to enjoy 3, maybe 4 rides in a day. That if if you’re not willing to fork over even more cash for the expedited lines, where you also have to wait, just not as long

    1. I’m still waiting on a refund from 03/2020 when they shut down due to covid. They keep finding new ways to suck money out of your wallet. I’ve been to Disney World several hundred times over the years but never again. You pay a small fortune to stay at one of their hotels and they have the nerve to charge you extra to park your car. RIP OFF

  20. Robin kurtz

I am currently at Disney I have 2 suitcases in my Budget room. I used my closet and drawers. Yes lines where long. I knew that . It’s rained a lot but like I told my daughter sorry I am trying to make your birthday great but I don’t control weather Every character interaction was great. Photos beautiful. Most cast members have been amazing. Only saw a few who just seemed like Gosh I hate my job..

  21. Although it seems as if this vacation or had a lot of issues, I have to agree with him in the fact that Disney has lost its magic. I too had a difficult experience at Disney. Customer service has gone way down . It’s supposed to be the happiest place on earth but the people working there don’t seem very happy .

  22. Michael Faussett

When I had a annual pass for Disney World because I live in the Tampa Bay area I would go two times a month on my paycheck weekends so yes the parks and Disney World does get crowded and the weather does get cold, hot and stormy even some server thunder storms in the summer months the prices are crazy but I would still go back to Disney World. And for the guy that is being a crybaby you should have did you home work yes the lines sucks at Disney but at least try to have a great time and no they shouldn’t give you a refund it should be in your contacts.

  23. Michael Faussett

  24. Gary Michaels

There are legitimate complaints a seasoned visitor like me can make, such as 400+ dollars per night for rooms with only partial housekeeping. But this person is comical in their spoiled childish complaints. Complaining about my wife’s feet being run over by the wild increase in out of control high speed electric scooters that you now find in the park, I think is legitimate. Or the big increase in the spoiled entitled line cutters “catching up” with their party? Huge problem. Having to wait in line in June? Delusional.

  25. Mr

Feeling ripped off is a legit, repeat theme @ the parks… At the same time, it’s not theft unless you’re forced to buy tickets or they don’t let you in when you get there… He just found out he’s done with Disney that’s all. Lots of folks hit that threshold years ago. More will. It’s def not the Disney we grew up with and isn’t for everyone.

  26. Amy

I think Disney has become overrated period! It’s way to expensive to fight the crowd, wait in long lines, & eat overpriced food. There’s too many other wonderful places to spend money on than there & get lots of enjoyment & family time. Just my opinion

    1. Sherri

Exactly! It’s your opinion and your entitles to it. So you probably shouldn’t go. Disney isn’t the same as years ago. However, they offered much less years ago as well

  27. Lynda

There is nothing magical about the magic Kingdom anymore. I spent a boatload of money to take our whole family and my two eight-year-old twins grandsons it was dirty it was overly expensive the genie passes didn’t work correctly . the boys even said they will never go back. will go to a different theme park Busch Gardens is much better.

  28. Pete C

I’m still waiting on a refund from 03/2020 when they closed the park due to covid. Not enough space to list all the sneaky little ways they suck money out of you wallet. Just one that really irritated me, pay a small fortune to stay at one of their hotels and they charge you to park your car.

  29. Nick

While this guy was obviously too much.. I highly doubt you clearly explained the G+ lightning lane situation, its purposely overly complicated. So yeah I can understand someone being upset thinking they paid for something they dont get.

  30. Sounds like buyer’s remorse to me! Disney is not the place to go if you are an impatient person. No refunds for disappointing expectations.

  31. John

I have visited WDW numerous times beginning the opening weekend in October 1971. I remember the days when it cost $5 for general admission and ride tickets were purchased separately. 32. Brian

I am a passholder so my family go all year. I’ve only had one issue with a Disney hotel. My wife and I found a pill on the floor and our shower vent was hanging by one screw. We later found that missing screw sitting on the shower rod. If the screw fell off anyone could have stepped on it. I reported this to the desk and got no apology. Wrote a note to them and all I got from the office was that their cleaning crew work really hard. I wasn’t looking for a discount. Just an apology. We just won’t go to that hotel ever again.

  33. Good nobody wants you there. Please stay home

  34. Jarvis

Was the person from India? They are showing up more and more and are the cheapest people on earth.

  35. GiFogs

Mad Mike, what an appropriate name. 🙄

  36. Loren

That guest sounds like a nightmare. I took my family to Disney World June of 2022. There were 6 of us — 3 adults, 3 children. Yes, it was hot & even rained, but we still made the best of it and had an absolutely wonderful time. We stayed at Art of Animation in a family suite, which was WONDERFUL. We also purchased Genie+ and learned how to use it to full advantage. Was trip expensive? Of course! It was worth every penny to me for my 3 grandsons to enjoy the experience.

  38. Years ago I took my brother to Disney in July. It was hot hot hot. So what we did was head to the parks around 4pm and stay for the fireworks at midnight and hit the shops on Main St USA and get back to our room around 130 or 2am. We’d munch on the snacks we bought in the shops, especially the candy shop. We’d watch TV then go to sleep and do the same thing the next day. It worked out great and we didn’t have to deal with the hot sun and all the crowds. The funny thing is a few years later I moved to Florida and lived there for 29 years!! So I experienced all
the hot summer days. August is the worst!! The crowds at Disney, tropicalstorms and hurricanes up to and including category 4. Not fun!! Lol

If you don’t live here, you will never understand our seasons and what the weather is going to do. Be a normal, educated human being and do your homework before planning an elaborate trip-ANYWHERE….Derrrrrrrrrrrrr

  40. Jersey Girl

Theme park+summer=crowds. If you think you can go to any theme park in the summer and not wait in long lines you are seriously living with your head in the sand. People need to stop thinking that they are the only ones on earth. The world doesn’t revolve around you.

  41. Ed

No sympathy ,,,, thats like complaining about going to Rome and expecting no crowds and hotel rooms are too small. Sorry speed racer, do your dillogence before hitting the track

21 years ago my husband and I went to Disney on the Grand Plan. 5 days into our trip, my mom called and advised us my father was dying from his cancer and was going into hospice. We went to the the hotel desk, and they refunded us the remainder of our trip. Thank God they lived only 70 miles from Disney. We made it in time.

Go complan to the Governor DeSantis he was married at Disney world

  44. sounds like PR for desantis. kids cannot be minors when their adults are discussing things that are not understandable by those who have not hit puberty and do not comprehend hormones and the way human bodies work? desantis is a false prophet. a true christian would break bread with an asylum seeker, not throw them on a plane or bus with false promises. no more eyes wide shut woke bs. wake up ya’ll. our children need their adults to step up.

My family group of 15 were at WDW from June 5 through 9th. We stayed at Pop Century Resot. We had a fabulous time. We did our homework before we got there. Some chose to purchase Genie+, some did not. Those who didn’t had to wait in long lines, but everyone had a wonderful time. No regrets.

If you’re STUPID enough to waste money at that tourist-trap, you deserve all of the inconveniences that accompany such a sad experience. “Happiest Place on Earth”??? Not gor decades.

    End of Line.

Our family has been going to WDW for 50 years and have been DVC members for 30. It is true that WDW is not the place it used to be and maybe we just all have to deal with that. The thing that upsets me are the people that keep trying to “rig the system.” My son and daughter-in-law had their honeymoon on a disney cruise in May. When they came back, they told us about a couple who found a complaint about anything in order to try to get some freebies. While making entirely ridiculous and fictional claims that any person with integrity would be ashamed of, they were in essence, insulting everyone who was trying to enjoy their once-in-a-lifetime vacation and thumbing their nose at people who can only dream of being on that ship. I am digusted at this behavior that seems to be worming its way into mainstream acceptance. These people are so much worse than the parks could ever become.

It was fun in the 70s, there were short lines and we rode lots of rides all day long. Sadly what used to be fun is no longer fun. I would not enjoy waiting on line with a bunch of woke people. Best to just stay home, eat lobster and let them have the park to themselves.

Reason 429 why Native Floridians hate Disney. Tear everything down and give us back the swamp.

  51. E. M.

As Florida snowbirds we used to go to Disney about 10 times a year. We no longer go. No more Fast passes, no smoking, and now woke crap.

  52. Veronica

I’ve enjoyed WDW the three times I was there. Everything is planned early before we leave what month to go and how long. WDW doesn’t disappoint. That’s why you save for a year in order to go

  53. Kathy

I live in Florida. June is hot and humid. We are a tropical state. There’s this little thing that most be know cld, wait for it, a weather app. I used to take my kids to Disney when they were kiddos. You’re there for the kids. Sounds like this client expected a full all out guided tour and that’s not going to happen. Did he read the reviews? He sounds like a willfully ignorant traveler.

  54. Sharon

From the time my grandson was 2 until 12, we went to Disney World ever single year. In all that time, I can’t say we had a huge complaint. Sure, we always went for Disney’s Magical Christmas, the best time of year. Cant hold Disney responsible for the lines, weather or prices. What I say to the complaining tourist, if you don’t find Disney magical, stay in your own country, because you are a malcontent.

  55. Dusty

I was a bus driver for Mears Transportation. We did all the Disney Cruise Line transportation. I was taking a bus load of guests to the port of Fort Lauderdale because Port Canaveral being closed due to a hurricane. One lady complained the whole time. And finally as she was getting off the bus said to me “Disney should do something about this weather.” SMH

  56. Teresa

Sound like they didn’t want to stand in line. All amusement park are lines. They get home and find out they spend to much money so they come up with “ let get a refund.” Weather is not Disney problem.

  57. Ray

This year at Disney was the worst I have ever seen. Standby lines wait times aren’t true says 40 mins when it is 3 hours or more. Because the LL goes on before anyone. Also seen people skipping over to LL after waiting in standby for ever

  58. Emmi

Is this customer a child??! Now why would you pick a vacation destination to go to, and then not do ANY research before buying or traveling to the place to see what to expect? It isn’t theft, he’s just too short-sighted to have adequately prepared for his trip, which isn’t the travel agent’s fault. As the saying goes, your failure to plan doesn’t constitute an emergency on other people’s behalf. This will definitely be a life lesson for to research vacation places ahead of time, albeit an expensive one.

  59. TC

What a brat! If you dont want to wait in line buy a Fast Pass, that’s what we dod each time we went. But you’ll still hVe to wait bit. You could always buy a VIP experience but its going to cost you. You can’t demand your money back just vecause you had to wait in lines, its Disney. There are a million and one people there, even if it’s raining. Get over your entitled attitude!

  60. Disneyland in CA has terrible lines too. It gets very hot in the summer but without the humidity and rain. We used to go off season on school days and it was empty. Now it’s crowded everyday.

  61. I was in Orlando running a conference on June 25, I went to Hollywood Disney it was hot and muggy. The next day my husband a I went to Epcot and the heat and humidity was even worse as it rained every 20 minutes for 5 or 10 minutesWe left a little early because the weather was just to miserable for us. We live in CA in a ski resort town at 7,060ft. And there is no humidity here. Disney CA in Anaheim, CA where we grew up the weather is much more cooperative. We will never go to FL again unless it is to get aboard a ship to cruise the sea. Travel agents please be sure you explain the humidity to your clients.

Can I sit on this yahoo’s jury? Seriously? His attorney needs to be disbarred for even filing this type of lawsuit.
