I think Disney has a bigger problem brewing. I went to Disneyland last summer with my wife and son and granddaughter. The grandkids had a blast. The other parents around were having a blast. The kids, were in their phones and couldn’t care less. Once the Disney adults like me are too old, there will be a drop off. My son doesn’t take interest in the things I did and gave exposed him to. Lots of kids showed this apathy that summer, like they would rather be anywhere else but there. The next generation isn’t going to LOVE Disney.

Some years ago at one time, Disneyland was great. Not anymore. I don’t plan on ever returning.

I like Universal and Islands better , no unfair villain ruler saying you can’t ride a ride cause no boarding pass. Most likely will drop Disney world pass. Walt would roll over in his grave if he had to go to DW now.

D.W. run by children for children. So its a 13 and under park . No adults! Got it. So babies and no parents.

Does this mean no babies and parents as well?

I would like to say that I would of taking my kids to Disney world back when they were little if the price was not so high. I loved going with my dad back in the 1980’s. When it was affordable, and you didn’t have to pay for parking, pay for every ride or make reservations for the food. It was great back then but now it’s way to much.

Going to Disney is a chore not a vacation! One would do better vacationing at a more vacation friendly place. The magic is gone!

I think it’s safe to say that prices could double everywhere and while there would be some very loud complaints from many groups, especially online, there would still be enough of an audience who would still pay those prices to keep the parks as packed as they are now.

I am 70. Used to be an Annual Pass holder and would fly down from Chicago multiple times in a year. But I was working then, Disney prices were “reasonable”.
Now my Disney days are memories; they have no interest in my attendance. I spent thousands. Wish I had it back.

  12. I’d say about 20 years ago Disneyland changed Direction . Before it was One of the Places everyone wanted to visit, but not anymore . The Lack of Respect that comes from the 20’s age group has literally destroyed that once magical kingdom

Being a Disney adult is a mental illness

      Your dad.

I went along time ago when it was affordable. Have not been back as an adult in is not affordable anymore. Walt Disney must be turning in his grave. He wanted an affordable place for all families.

My 26 year old adult son who is ASD (high-functioning Autistic) and I love SeaWorld!!! He loves Rollercoasters and animals! SeaWorld is a Certified Autism Center. WD has not kept up with the times.

Why would it effect individual adults more than families who often pay for 3 or more tickets at a time? Folks who already may have more income from lack of dependents will not be the people hit hardest by higher prices IMHO. Stronger restrictions on private video and pictures within the parks would do much more. Though I personally don’t think you have to age out of Disney park fandom. Neither did Walt. Though some of their behavior is absolutely selfish, influencers probably have encouraged more attendance than any recent add campaign. Their a double edged sword.

Unfortunately unless we win a lottery, it mabe some time before we are able to return to WDW, Florida. The expenses for last month’s trip used to be what we would pay for 2 trips. Some of the perks that we enjoyed in the past, such as shopping being delivered to the resort are a thing if the past! We just felt that we were paying more for less. The staff at the resort felt that the crowds were smaller. Political climate for the state could be impacting some visitors. Hopefully we will be able to save for another trip without having to sell an organ, lol!

The main problem is, after spending $800 for a family of 6 to get in, the lines are so long we get to ride like 3 or 4 rides all day. Who’s going to pay these crazy prices to stand in line for hours in 100 degree heat?
