No, Disney never was a failure. These bad actors are a failure with a sick & self importsnt view of themselves and they’re opinions. They love causing others to not be able to enjoy seeing they’re Children’s excitment. It’s time they grow up and get a life.
Disney parks did just fine before ‘influencers’ came along. They seem to bring all the recent bad behavior with them…and then people copy their crappy influence. Disney does not need these people at all!
No one visits the mouse based on an influencers’ recommendations. All a self absorbed and using Disney’s IP for their own gains, and if Disney’s marketing team thinks otherwise they need to be shown the door!
Ahh the influencer, sure I’ll bet they are making good money now, but with no life, technical or specialized skills when their “influence” runs out, they will be collecting unemployment or turning to only fans to survive ….if you can call it that
If Disney has a rule against commercial use of filming on their property simply enforce it. You know who the “influencers” are. Disney simply has to review social media and see if the content creators are earning money from their work and issue a cease and desist letter followed by legal action.
If Disney can go after an elementary teacher for having hand drawn Disney characters in her class they can definitely shut down commercial enrichment by influencers overnight.
Lastly one of the factors that probably bothers the average guest is the special treatment these content creators are getting above and beyond a paying park or resort visitor.
I am sure if you do the filming for the love of Disney and sharing it then you would not want to violate commercial enrichment rules which disallow you making an income from Disney products and services. After all you are not an employee of Disney in the legal sense.
Like 70% of park goers think that they’re the main character and every one else around are just enchanted to be in their presence. The influencers take that mentality and dial it up to 11.
What did we do and how did we behave at Disney and other theme parks before Mobile Phones , Social Media , the internet and other electronic or live streaming devices? The answer we treated people with respect and did not try and act like a “DISNEY PRINCESS OR PRINCE” like many of influencers do now. They truly believe they are a “star” in their world and to protest such behavior you will be filmed and labeled as a “Karen or Ken” and publicly shamed on YouTube.
“Influencers” are not a necessary evil!
Disney loves them because they are getting free air play with each vlog they post. The normal guests feelings/opinions are cast aside for the “influencers” rude behavior because Disney knows they will be posting about their parks online.
Comments for Influencers, a Necessary Evil for Disney Parks
Walt
Oh Yes – they are so self important and self absorbed what would we do without them. Disney was a failure before these narcissists came on the scene.

Donna apparently doesn’t understand a little something called “sarcasm” perhaps she should try consulting google and look it up

Disney was doing just fine before influencers came along. They are just like Walt said, self important and self absorbed.

I think “influencer” is a pretty hilarious term for them. So self-important. Look at me!!! I’m an influencer!
