I’m surprised that security. Miss this at the entrance because they are confiscated or the guest is asked. Return it to their vehicle. Obviously, additional training is needed at these checkpoints.

Annoying to see the snarky attitude of his daughters and the guy’s eye roll at the end of the video.
Would they have that same attitude if that selfie stick went flying from the guy’s hands to hit someone seated further back, someone in another coaster, or a person walking under the tracks? Then there is the fact that at least 3 coasters full of people weren’t able to complete the ride bc it was stopped thanks to Mr. Selfie Stick.
For as many times that he said he has gotten the shot you think he would know the policy on selfie sticks. He had no idea why they got stuck? Yeah right! Selfish. He should have been removed from the park.
I don’t understand why people don’t follow the rules. They should have taken the device / phone and erase the contents of the ride.Just saying. Thank goodness no one got hurt.
And her casual, laugh at the reason, is exactly what’s wrong with their generation. Everything is a joke to them. Nothing is taken seriously, until something serious happens. Then, it’s still a joke.

Honestly, I wish that person had been removed from the park for the rest of the day. Selfie sticks have been banned for years – for this very reason.

Selfie sticks are banned at all amusment parks in California Don’t get caught using one they will walk you to the exit if caught.

If you have to keep your hands and feet inside, a selfish stick should be obvious. I’m keeping what spellchecker called it- a selfish stick.
He should have been made ro delete it, because by allowing him to publish the above video, he may encourage others to try the same thing.
The thing could have flown out of his hand and literally could have killed someone behind him.
