The proper legal remedy is to dissolve the special district entirely. This is something no one wants because of the debt burden and logistical issues but there is no other “equitable” way to resolve the dispute from a constitutional stand point. The state appointed board was not chosen by the people who live and own land in the district, hence the people have had there rights striped from them by the state and the state dictates terms without a way for the residence to remove them. The state tried to have their cake and eat it too by punishing disney and not the counties at the same time. It is not going to pass the supreme court smell test. Either thing go back to the way they were prior to Desantis violating free speech rights or dissolve the district entirely and leave it to the local counties and tax payers to deal with. Thats how it should be, considering all these special districts are a scam in one form or another.

GOVERNOR Desantis has taken such an infantile rage towards Disney because he is such a petty little man wanting to make FL free of anyone’s choice or altenating ideas other than his own. He has chosen to bully his own state out of any actual human rights. THE STATE OF FL has been freed out of all that makes our state a functional part of the union.
A proven mosaginist and biggot’ he has calapered our schools, our business models and our human rights out from under us without thought of what his constitute s actually need or want from our elected officials. Elect him for president and feel the Grand Wizards reign.

What exactly are you talking about? The only people that own land in the Reedy Creek district is Disney. It’s all thier land. The entire reason the district exist was to keep the people in the counties that the district is in from being saddled with the taxes to build all the infrastructure for Disney World when it was originally built in the 60’s. It was literally all a swamp with no infrastructure around. What few people who were in Orange and Osceola counties would have been stuck with taxes to pay for a power plant, a water plant, a waste disposal plant, roads, signage, and other things costing hundreds of millions at the time. Even up to today, all of this is paid for by Disney who is taxed by Reedy Creek.

Disney should dismantle and move away from Hitlorida. Many states would welcome them and probably offer tax incentives. Let DeSantis deal with the aftermath. Remember the first amendment,Ron?

I think that governor de Santos is a threat, when Disney criticized he is bill, he should of stayed quiet and should have ignored what Disney said, but he took it personal not thinking of the big business that Disney is, he should have a all cost tried not to get into the fight, that is why I think he is a threat to business. The world is upside down, if you want to get rid of LGBTQ people you got to fix lots of other things first, you need to fight them at the root of the problem.

Desantis is destroying the state of Florida.
He is an authoritarian and seeks vengeance on anyone who disagrees with him

I wouldn’t believe a word Disney says it’s an excuse of a failing company for the last several years, too big for the bridges, and another company not minding their own business America will not stand for this anymore

Disney’s problems happened way before Reedy Creek or any action by the state. The CEO is trying to place his problems elsewhere. Walt would be devastated by what is going on. The family is not part of the plan.

Hell yeah! You know what guys? No doubt about it, DeSantis is a threat to businesses. But more than that, I’m honestly sick and tired to hear about this Trump Part 2 mf jerk banning this signing that.
Why don’t we all ban him? He’ll yeah, let’s ban this stupid clown. VOTE NO FOR DESANTIS.

Disney needs to begin investing out of Florida. Floridians voted for desantis. Their mentality is not going to change. Florida is not a good place for big business. It is too hot to visit Disney in the summer. There are other states that will respect their business.

DeSantis, with his vindictive Disney battle, is attempting to placate the Republican base in an attempt to unseat Trump for President. Instead, he is alienating more and more centrist voters, which will result in a general election loss.

  11. Larry

DeSantis is unqualified to be President. Imagine how much economic destruction he would wreak if he had any influence over all 50 states.
