Not much of a change. Not worth typing up. Genie + is still horrific. Ruins the Disney experience. You can’t enjoy being there while staring at your phone.
Went to Disney World in 2022. Used Genie+. With the supposed change all the more reason to take my family somewhere else for a vacation. My family created beautiful memories over the years at Disney. Could you spoil it anymore. Good luck with ruining what was once a magical place.Its too bad.
Yes its a cash grab. The parks are keeping the corp afloat due to Iger’s bad business decisions which were carried on by his chosen one, Chapek. Chapek then made his own bad decisions. Now Iger is back and continuing to make bad decisions. Park attendance is falling so they have to do something, anything, like cutting payroll. Now the rats are leaving the sinking ship leaving Cap Iger at the helm of a vessel which is drifting toward the rocks.
This change moves the park attendance information and especially park hopping info into Genie+. I wouldn’t be surprised to hear in a few months that Park reservations go away completely. With the Genie+ system they can use the purchased Genie info to get a close estimate of park attendance and how many people are also potential park hoppers, allowing them to continue to play with staffing levels cut right to the bone to match what their perceived staffing needs are for the guest count.
Agreed, Genie+ (and Lightning Lanes) suck. Desperately needs to be shitcanned. DO NOT BRING BACK FASTPASS+. No more front of the line passes. Treat all guests equally.
We went a few times pre-pandemic with lightning lane and once with genie. I didn’t see much difference except for booking items same day. I think people just like to complain.
We have been going to sunset world ever year for around10 years… first started with my oldest n the was a fantastic vaca for my second who is Autistic (is so hard to find vacas that were so accomidating) …no more we went in 2021 n will not come back until they get it back together if they ever do that is. There are many other magical vacations to go on it just a shame we have so many happy memories at the mouses house.
I do not like Genie or Genie+ or paying for individual rides to bypass the standard que. My last trip to WDW cost way too much, even w/ us staying at Port Orleans. It will be a long before we return. So sad ……..

Genie+ is no more than putting lipstick on a pig or ketchup on a turd. the experiment is a flop and needs to go away. Just ask anyone not named Iger.
