No matter what lies Disney tell this all started because of a petition signed by 20,000 people ( most of who have probably never set foot in a Disney park ) calling for a retheme following the murder of George Floyd in May 2020 although the Brer Rabbit stories actually originated from old African-American folk tales. Almost 100,000 people signed another petition to keep Splash Mountain with its original theme but Disney chose to listen to a small minority and ignore the people who actually visit the parks regularly and spend thousand of dollars with Disney. A decision that they may live to regret
Woke Disney continues to disappoint those of us that have made them rich by patronizing the parks. My family has been to Orlando in excess of 50 times, California and even Paris.
Makes me want to stop spending my money with them.
