I left California because it’s an expensive dumpster fire and it’s not getting better. Would serve California right if Disney left for the same reasons.

    1. You left California because you couldn’t afford to live somewhere nice. It’s paradise here if you have the money.

      1. J

Nope, California is a heaven for Drugs, Homeless people, illegal aliens and debauchery. No one wants to live there anymore now that it has been ruined. The only ones left there are the ones that can’t afford to move or are sucking on the government teets.

        1. Dude, really? Illegal aliens? How do you know and why does that matter to you?

          1. ML

Because the rest of the country is paying for it.

It’s obvious you didn’t think it through before you clicked “Post”.

          2. Don

It’s obvious that you watch too much Fox News

          3. Sue

It’s obvious you haven’t had to wait 20 hrs in an ER while illegals flood it & get free medical!

          4. White.bob

Illegal immigrants are a conspiracy theory. They don’t exist

          5. Paul

What has happened in California is not the fault of the people or the government of California. It is the fault of the members of Congress who have never taken the initiative to pass good immigration laws and have never cared to sufficiently address the correct aspects of our economy. But, gee let’s take every available opportunity to bash “the state of California” when we know damn well the real reasons for their problems are political and financial greed.

          6. Sue

We have the laws but the commiecrats do not ENFORCE them!

          7. Mark

            Yeah, you sound real objective…

          8. Walt

Oh man – how much crack did you have to do to come up with that convoluted theory. Oh and when Trump offered amnesty for immigration reforms the Dems said NO!

          9. big popa

Love Nevada, love Disney. I can afford Nevada. Can’t afford Disneyland anymore. California sucks ass!

          10. SandySandy

The point is Disney’s move. Out of Florida for political reasons. Absolutely, leave that governor in the dust, and after all people go to Nevada to spend $$. Disney Park is perfect for a desert Oasis!

          11. RobS

Disney will not leave Florida… DeSantis has only a couple of years left to be Governor regardless of what happens in his Presidential bid. Florida has a 2 term limit for its Governors.

          12. Sue

            Amen!

          13. Ste

            No thanks.
Ironically, everywhere that people escape from because it becomes increasingly evil, they find someplace that is not as evil, they find themselves realizing that evil is following them everywhere they go. I find it curious that Hollywood has destroyed itself, and thinks that Las Vegas is a better place.

          14. CJA

California pays far more to that government than many other states. It’s the fifth largest economy in the world!

          15. Great more consumerism in the desert. Water is being rationed already and Disney wants to build an empire in the desert. It’s an ecological nightmare but money makes the profit go around. Shame on Disney….

          16. John Nelson

I agree- I think the Disney operation will be a high water user for a purpose that is strictly entertainment and is not helpful to the drinking water problem

          17. Reg Gomes

LA and Hollywood are also importers of water- from Northern California and the Colorado River. Nevada is not the only ecological nightmare.

          18. Sue

Because we, including our disabled who live in pain 24/7, are fed up being forced against our will to pay for those illegal aliens invading SPONGES!

          19. Tom

You seriously sound mentally retarded with these comments you’re making. Get some help.

          20. Sam

Replace “illegal alien” with “Jew” and you’ll understand how Natzi you sound. Hate is hate. Stop it.

          21. uptown

I like how you know your first argument is so weak that you already moving the goal posts in your own question. 🤣

        2. Chele

          Go for it Disney
Hopefully this will bring job opportunities to willing workers

          1. Fred

Just stay where you are Disney. Live and play in the mess you helped create. Paradise. Wake up nap time is over

          2. Mariah Valentine

I agree it will bring job opportunities witch is needed

        3. Don

I love California. It isn’t perfect, but it’s better than most states.

          1. Rozroznchaz@gmail.com

Why would Disney world would two parks close to the same vicinity . The eastern and Southern states would not benefit from this move. Leaving All states on the East and South without a major theme park. Nevada is mostly accommodate adult. not family friendly.

          3. Jay

            Don, that can be debatable.
But if high taxes to pay for all the social hand outs constitutes better than most, the west coast, California, Oregon, and Washington state ARE the better places to live.

          4. Susan Zopi

Washington state has a huge issue with their homeless population. Seems like a good place to stay away from.

        4. J

          You just described Nevada

        5. Jimmy

          I. Guess there’s no need for this. Sorry you feel Sorry for yourselfs

          1. Shado

They didn’t specifically say Las Vrgas was the destination, but after living in Nevada I think Vegas would suit the filming business. They aren’t talking about moving any of the parks. Las Vegas has always been a unique place to live, and my only concern is that I would hate for it to turn into a mini hollywood because a lot of film companies had a presence there. I also loved living in California but parts of it are overmanicured and fake. I really don’t want Vegas to turn into another woke, plastic, fake land of Barbie and Ken dolls.

        6. Rich

Vegas has become Very ghetto, lot’s of crime, shooting.

        7. Don h.

Good news take the mouse 🐁 and all his friends there

        8. Robert

Riiiiiight J.. I happen to leave very close to Anaheim Disneyland, and you’re complaining just because you’re another broke, disgruntled, Fox News watching, racist type. California is great, despite what right wingers (most of who never lived here, yet pretend they did) claim in their unhinged rants.

      2. Why

Yeah, the streets of LA, San Francisco, and every overpass between the 2 looks like “paradise”.

      3. Lenore

Do you even know how that sounds?? I hope you enjoy using your wealth to hide from the poverty and homelessness that crawls over California. Ick, all the way around.

      4. Mary Meyer

As long as it doesn’t build on the strip! I don’t understand why everything Hass to be on the strip. It’s totally impossible for locals to have a good time on the strip. It’s so crowded!

      5. STC

Every time they show California I see lots of homeless I’m sure there are nice areas but that state could slide in the ocean and not many would care

      6. Bobadoo

Most nice places don’t have health advisories about an excess of human feces in public areas.

      7. Brian

No one cares where negative thinkers live, Jane.
An occasional filming on site in Nevada is fine….moving studios, production, editing facilities is not a good idea.

        1. Susan Zopi

You are absolutely right! Well said too!!

      8. Rick

        Commiefornia ?

        1. Susan Zopi

You must be from Arkansas –

      9. Eugenio

I heard to rent a room without a kitchen is $2,000, is that true?

        1. Alexie

No, it isn’t true. I live in LA. If you want a studio, you are looking at about 1400 ish. But they all have kitchens, bathrooms, storage, and closets. I don’t know where people are getting this stuff. But thank you for asking so this could be clarified.

      10. uptown

It’s a paradise for the super rich and for mooching bums who like to defecate on the street. And the super rich aren’t posting on random website so I guess you called yourself out.

      11. Reecie

I think anything Disney should completely move out of Florida. Nevada has the Space, lets Go.

        1. Bob Anders

we dont want it here and if there is one thing Nevada can do its chase away what it does not want.

      12. Aaron Ivan

Yeah your right, but doesn’t hurt your throat sucking so much **** To afford to live there? Or is it a bonus lol

      13. Bob Anders

Paradise? Human waste littering the streets Oppressive laws, miserable housing, miserable angry busybody people? No thanks I like being free.

    2. Tani

      Yes , Nevada, more revenue

      1. J

This new proposed Tax Bill would grant Disney an extremely Low tax rate, if not a zero tax rate for a specific amount of time. In exchange, the companies are supposed to hire locals. However, what typically happens is they bring in a majority of the high paid talent from their other locations and give the locals the lower paid jobs, like janitors and maintenance personnel, or low level security.
I’m not saying those people don’t need a place to work or that those jobs aren’t necessary. But I have seen too many promises of higger paying jobs pre-filled. They have done this here in Louisiana already for several years now.

        1. MC

Agreed, J. I saw the same thing happen in Pennsylvania when I lived there. Specifically with the gas fracking industry. The gas is not taxed at all like in other states, so no tax revenue generated, and all the best jobs are already pre-filled by Texas and Oklahoma residents.

          1. Susan Zopi

Fracking isn’t good for anyone or anything except permanently destroying good land, carbon emissions and making the rich richer at the expense of the future of our planet. Fracking should be illegal – it’s the kiss of death!

          2. Bob Anders

lol fracking works you are just a miserable leftist

        2. dont let the door hit you in the butt on your way to nevada.

    3. Deborahclouse

      No water….not a good idea.

      1. dont let the door hit you in the butt on your way to nevada.

    4. Why

The PROBLEM is that Californians have been moving to Nevada in droves for decades and the majority bring their politics with them.

      1. Micah

Absolutely! We have gotten the Raiders, are about to get the A’s, and now all we are missing is a world renowned theme park and Nevada will be on the map for the world. I hope they move here! Its what Nevada has been missing forever. It would be nive for a theme park to move into the state instead of another casino. We do however have extreme temperatures here. So it would be a challenge and quite the endeavor to bring something here like a Disney or six flags, but it would be all that’s missing in nevada.

        1. Todd

They are not moving their theme parks. Disney is considering moving the movie division. BC off the taxes

      2. Bob Anders

We do a decent job making them leave in rural Nevada, they have no power here, we actively chase them out if they are like that.

    5. Jen

Yes. It is not appreciated in Florida. They should move the entire Disney out of the State. Thanks to DeSantis

      1. ML

        Go for it.

Just like the actors who said they’d move to Canada.

        Geeze.

You folks really don’t think things through do you?

Disney should’ve stayed out of politics.

        Period.

        1. And that is when everything started going down, this wasn’t Walt Disney’s plan, that would be my guess

        2. JohnSchubert

And so should DeSantis with his oppressive actions.

        3. S

Disney never entered politics, DaDummy attacked them because he’s a low life grifter and a hater!!

      2. Joe

They should take Disney to China

        1. Shanghai is in China , smart guy Joe haha

      3. Ace

You really don’t know what you’re talking about

      4. Douglas Edwards

        See ya

    6. LinnyB

I live in California and are doing just fine, in fact I’m doing better than fine andmthe reason that “debauchery ” doesn’t bother me I because I mind my own business, you know let people be free to do what they want, the American Dream.

      1. Joe

Why does nobody on here understand that this has nothing to do with the theme parks?

        1. Shado

Agreed! So many comments about the parks when all they are moving is some of the filming.

    7. Did you ever think you’re an expensive dumpster fire

      1. Joe

Why does nobody on here understand that this has nothing to do with the theme parks?

    8. Mark

Thank you for leaving. Feel free to never return.

    9. Bottom Line

You left because it’s so popular that the price of living there has gone up.
~ You don’t have what it takes to hang with the elite and dynamic.
      ~ You’re a second stringer.

      1. S

        And who are you exactly??

    10. Jonathan

Moving out of Florida would be their first step.

    11. Terry

You are entitled to your opinion but I love California and everything about it. I was born and raised in California – I am not rich and not a transplant.

    12. Dilip

Hate to burst your bubble but California’s economy is growing faster than any other state, has the lowest unemployment of any state and is growing fast enough to overtake France to become the 4th largest economy in the world! One he’ll of a dumpster fire isn’t it!

      1. Paul

Buh, buh, buh, WAIT! That ain’t wut ah larnt on Fox!

      2. Bob Anders

Uhhh no its not, its lost 12 million people in the last 3 years and has serious holes in its budget, Streets are filled with crime, gun laws suck taxes are high, vehicle laws are miserable. Its a dumpster fire

    13. Dom

No it wouldn’t, they’re actually making money. What are you talking about 🙄🤦?

  2. Samir

Yes Disney should move to Nevada

    1. JakeO

They should move on Russia or Cuba.

      1. Emily

Why People Doing Disney Leave Disney Alone 😔

        1. Dean

Yes! Las Vegas Nevada is the next Hollywood and more Young generation and millennials future actors are in Las Vegas and Las Vegas is the greatest entertainment capital in the world be best and smartest move Disney needs to build the biggest movie studios and amusement park when u build they will all come 😀

      2. Rob

No, Disney shouldn’t move to Nevada. Nevada is obviously mismanaged. Nevada doesn’t seem to acknowledge that there’s a major water shortage and adding Disney to Las Vegas is a huge mistake. The water level in Lake Mead is reaching critical level. Nevada is more concerned with the added revenue for the state and not concerned with the fall out. The electricity and water usage would make a huge impact on not only Nevada but Arizona, California and even Mexico. Not a smart move. The roads and highways can’t handle the traffic now and the highway are constantly under construction, do to the annual tax revenue alloted for roads and highway construction and how fast Las Vegas is growing, the state can’t keep up with the record growth now and need to step back and look at the big picture. Mistake!!

        1. Why

Yeah, the streets of LA, San Francisco, and every overpass between the 2 looks like “paradise”.

        2. Why

Southern Nevada “draining Lake Meade” is often cited and entirely WRONG. Over 80% of the water drawn out of Lake Meade by Southern NV. is treated and returned to the Lake, look it up.

          1. Rob

            The water is not
all returned to lake mead. Disney uses a ton of water on it’s landscape that isn’t returned. The amount of water that turn the turbine generat-ors is not returned to lake meade. Disney in Florida, employees 200,000 people and will relocate a good percentage of them. These employees also use water and electricity that use more water that isn’t returned to the reservoir (lake meade). Bad move that Nevada needs to rethink. I worked in Nevada for 9 years as an engineer and I have to say, it’s at the top for mismanaged.

        3. Mismanaged? Have you seen Florida

        4. Terry

I totally agree the water shortage is going to get worse because of declining Colorado River and Lake Mead shrinking. It will be catastrophic if Las Vegas continues to grow too fast and too large.

      3. Deb

No, too close to California. It needs to stay somewhere on the East coast. Or go to Alabama or Mississippi where the weather is also warm.

        1. Cynnerjane

If we’re just talking about filming, not building another theme park, then sure. Finding new talent for movies is great. I’m waiting for the day we can have movies that are actually family friendly with no bad language or sexual references. I know, shocking! Lol

    2. J

They aren’t “moving to Nevada”, they are thinking about opening a new studio there.

  3. James

Nevadan’s don’t want Disney or any Hollywood type movie studios in Las Vegas. We DON’T want to become a cesspool like California. Disney needs to move to a loberal state like Washington, Orogon or Illinois.

    1. donjrjr

Las Vegas is already a cesspool

      1. DARNA

I agree with you. Casinos, sports stadium are enough.
        Housing will be more expensive.

      2. Sandy E

        You haven’t been anywhere else

    2. J

They won’t go to those places, they’ve already ruined them with their liberal b.s.

      1. Wow, aren’t you ignorant?

        1. Bob Anders

He is actually right on the money, Liberals ruin anything, but they have yet to take over this state lol because Nevada is where liberals dreams come to die

      2. Bill

Ignorance is a common conservative trait.

        1. Stoner

          Agreed

    3. Oregon resident

      Learn to spell jackass

    4. Terry

What a crude and hateful comment about California. Learn to proof your typing or correct your misspelled words.

      1. Bob Anders

        California sucks

  4. Trezure

Las Vegas is already trash. Lets drive up prices and lower the value of people by making it more like California? No thank u

  5. Janice

Stop moving here. We are very full and tired

    1. Merrill

We don’t want anymore California people here . . OR Ilegals..We are a cowboy state witb big companies..We were clean but the trash moving in is making it just like another dirty California!!!!

      1. Waldo

        You’re the biggest illegal, pinky.

      2. Terry

What a load of hate directed to a beautiful state like California. We don’t deserve it and believe me that our state’s taxes help other poor states with high proportion of rural welfare dependent populations. Maybe we should keep the money because of all the hate out there.

        1. Bob Anders

Its a miserable state filled with sadness and despair

  6. TJ

I hope DISNEY does move to Las Vegas. More people will have work opportunities and level up to afford a home and a better life. Those opposed are typically better off trying to keep the poor.. POOR. WELCOME DISNEY!!!

    1. Ema

Welcome Disney, Nevada would offer fun for the whole family, what child is not happy with the magic of Disney, please consider fair and affordable rates. And let go of the negative comments from those who are not happy!

      1. Ema, Disney wants to build a movie studio here. Not a theme park. NV legislature voted to give tax breaks to movie companies that move to NV. You and me subsidize those tax breaks. There are more movie production companies wanting to move here for the same reason. The Raiders weren’t going to cost the taxpayer either. Well!!!!

        1. J

What a scam. The Raiders stadium cost you guys way more than it is worth.

          1. Right on J.

  7. The Great. Santini

Disney’s will have to compete with the casino they would have to open a casino

    1. There would be more families visiting Nevada with a theme park , parents could gamble and kids can have fun at the same time

  8. Tia

Maybe move yo a state where there is not much incentives fir the state. Move to a state where jobs are lacking and money can be made

    1. Karennina

New Mexico might be better. They should provide the same tax incentives & see if bidding ensues.

  9. TW

OK Disney is not opening a park, they want to build studios to make movies just like Sony is doing. The studios will be hiring and creating jobs. People are already moving here, just look at Black Mountain in Henderson. Disney and Sony won’t be bringing anymore people than those who are already moving here. We can’t breathe as it is, but Disney and Sony are not the enemy. Look to your local government for allowing all the insane building

    1. Peter

      Welcome Disney!!!
      NEVADA IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!!

    2. Haley

Nah Disney is just as bad as Biden and the corrupt election cheating government.

      1. Rose

Disney needs to go somewhere else ,we have enough to deal with here wish I could afford to move everything here is way to much money now !

      2. Roxie

This is a story about a movie studio. Don’t you get that? Has right wing politics clouded your brain? This has nothing to do with Biden or any other
        Politician.

      3. Don

        Thanks for outing yourself, QAnon.

      4. Terry

You drank the kool-aid. I wouldn’t be so quick to admit you’ve been fleeced by a crook.

    3. They start with the studio then , keep building , DeSantis doesn’t care about peoples jobs in Florida anymore he’s moved on the make a run for President hahaha , Disney is the biggest employer of Florida , that doesn’t include hotels , restaurants , shopping that make good money due to tourists

  10. Robert

I think it’s insane for any of these large companies to move to Las Vegas considering the water shortage and the flux of illegal immigrants that we are already suffering, the last thing we need is more people.

  11. Ty

Funny how I suspected that Mark Wahlberg’s move wasn’t anywhere near a moral reason but all business smh. Perfect location , not too far for existing studio employees to commute to and from CA as well. Lighten up people, it’s not a theme park.

  12. Mark

Funny tax exempt status and tax breaks for a lot of production in Florida already exist so not wanting to do business with Florida because you are being forced to be treated the same as every other corporation and not have your own little govt in Florida shows Disney is more petty than the governor. Battle of the pettiness who can be more petty

    1. Jodi Kilroy

      Yep!

    2. Is this actually true?

    3. Don

In Florida the governor will come after you if you disagree with his politics. That’s fascism.

      1. Truth Seeker

Don, You obviously don’t read articles or educate yourself on the issues. Disney has had a self governing and was not following the rest of the companies in Florida They have had their own government for Disney for years. This causes that they report what they want on accidents on the parks that they want not all. The monorail has cracks all over the place and Disney is not fixing it. They need to have an unbiased overseerer on the company as a whole like every other company in Florida. Right now Disney has an advantage over Universal because of this. So educate yourself because spreading the lies out there.

      2. Bob Anders

No that is what liberals do, then cry when it gets done to them. Better get used to it, because us conservatives are taking our country back one way or another

    4. Truth Seeker

Mark, Thank you for speaking the truth. All the comments about Florida with all the lies.

  13. I’m all for the studios moving here..but only if they hire locals first..that amendment needs to be added.. I read it might be added

    1. Bob

      How many Las
vegas people do you think are qualified to support the industry. I’m talking about qualified people. Don’t forget most of the support staff are union people, or do you intend to scab the union members?

      1. Backstage Bud

Bob, Not just Las Vegas people needing to be qualified. But, they’re talking about southern Nevada outside of Vegas. Film production requires very specific experienced Union technicians and artists. Film employees just don’t live in Southern Nevada. There would have to be a large
influx of experienced workers from California. Lower paying jobs like security, janitorial and catering could be hired locally.

      2. Don

Disney pays for qualified people to relocate for employment

  14. Pete

Only if they leave the Woke crap in California

    1. Ema

Welcome Disney, Nevada would offer fun for the whole family, what child is not happy with the magic of Disney, please consider fair and affordable rates. And let go of the negative comments from those who are not happy!

  15. Emily

Why People Doing Disney Leave Disney Alone 😔

    1. David

Tell the transgender to leave Disney alone and then maybe people won’t boycott Disney. Otherwise Disney is done just like Target and Bud Light

      1. Don

You have no idea what is going on

  16. Adrienne

    Yes, please come to Nevada!
Let’s change Sin City to Fun City!

  17. Dora

Great forget moving to the desert state of Nevada they are “Bone Dry ” Sin City is exactly what it is…
Illinois is the Right Place for Disney where the Family, Food and Music holds the ♥️ for the Magic kingdom .

  18. Yes!
Sounds exciting. I would love for Disney to move especially from Florida and just build a magic kingdom here in our state. We have the room and we appreciate what Disney stands for. Making all children happy in a magical setting without political interfaces.
Please come with film companies and please move out of Florida!

  19. David

    No.

  20. Marija Kachulis

NORTH LAS VEGAS IS A GREAT PLACE! LOTS OF WIDE OPEN AREAS FOR FILMING AND TONS OF INSPIRED EXTRA ACTORS LOOKING FOR OPPORTUNITIES.
SO MANY TERRAINS TO CHOOSE FROM AND CLOSE TO SOME THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACES IN UTAH AS WELL.. COME ON IN THE DESERT CALLS!

    1. Robert

North Las Vegas is hood as Compton. You’re just trolling now.

  21. Angelo

No stay out of my state

  22. Noelle

    The insanity needs to stop
The homeless population has exploded in Vegas because th cost of living and rent has gone sky high
These california companies that have bought everything out need to stop
Nevada’s are suffering and struggling enough as is
My daughter and I recently became homeless because as a single mom I could no longer do it on my own and we are now in a 90 Day shelter and I am terrified what will happen from here if I do not find a job where I can afford to do it on my own or find a place where I can afford move in cost .security And first and last rent
Good luck finding someone decent that will rent a room without major drama attached .

  23. Joanne

Disney should include Northern Nevada as well, not just southern Nevada.

  24. Deedee

Film and tv production is freelance work. This idea that Hollywood 2.0 is going to bring huge opportunity to LV is not entirely accurate. Its a way for the big corporations to make movies anywhere outside CA.

  25. Disney needs to stay where they’re at if this is true.

  26. JeffinMass

Just blame DeSantis for a Disney move and a presidential bid loss.

  27. Nevada is offering special tax breaks and protections for a specific amount of time….hmmmm that’s what florida did and when the time came to end those special protections Disney turned it into a political circus…like a child throwing a tantrum… I wish Disney would leave florida…they have poured lots of tourist money into the state but outside of that, they have not been good for florida. Trust me all the smoke and mirrors they are throwing at the media is just the bully wanting to get their way.

    1. 1800's Florida

That’s incorrect Disney paid $78 million in taxes annually, another Right wing Fox news , Tucker dog whistle 101, my family has lived in Florida since the early 1800’s sad you have no idea about the amendment to the Florida constitution, there are 1800 special districts in Florida, Desantis went after the Cruise lines during COVID 19, they almost left Florida, now he’s doing the same thing to Disney, trying to tell them how they can run their business, sadly you don’t know anything factual about The Special district, according to the amendment to the constitution only 1 way to dissolve a special district, the owners have to vote, that’s in the constitution, and the board has to be appointed by the land owners, nowhere does it state the Govornor has that authority, Desantis will lose this law suit

  28. El Riggers

Do it but NEVER go to Arizona because they can put DiSantis and Florida to shame for Republican craziness.

  29. Daryl

    Disney can come to OREGON
    We have room.
    MT. Hood, ST.Helens, and more,
Lots of movies were made here.
We have land and the Governor will give great Tax breaks.

  30. Phillysub

Moving out of CA is the right move. Where they move to doesn’t matter to me.

  31. Alex

No, Disney should stay in Florida, but DeSantis should be Deported to the Nevada desert.

  32. HoboMed

    Yes 💯%

  33. Reese

You still need to add one to Nevada. It’s closer and easier and you’ll get more people to visit. It’s such a good money move.

  34. Tricia Curtis Yarbrough

In Florida, I believe a lot of them are in that sex cult because it’s in Orlando. The sex kitten situation is growing so I’m not surprised they are choosing to move things in that direction. They have Vegas and casinos and legal human trafficking. It seems to be a very big problem in Florida, but I’m not saying it’s Disney itself. Florida is already a disaster and I hate it here, but I can’t leave! I don’t think them moving is exactly going to solve the problems in Florida because there are so many there’s one a couple options of possibly correcting it, but it may delay the inevitable. There’s a collapse coming regardless. They aren’t exactly an essential business, but if they do that we will see how long they last just like the rest of the non-essential businesses eventually. I think Walt knew if they got too big it was going to be a problem, because they were a big influence and a lot of these companies are in a simulation so after WW2 and over consumerism started he knew the environment wouldn’t support it eventually. I may be wrong, but I can read Disney language and it’s a little hinty.

  35. Karla

Leave Disney alone along with Bud Light and Target.

  36. It depends on what the situation is

  37. Don

Even the mouse needs to escape the rat hole

  38. Don

I don’t know why anyone or any business would want to stay in fascist Florida at this point.

  39. My name is Verona Bravo I’m a Pet Groomer and owner of PET WISHES SPA in Las Vegas Nevada .DISNEY Coming to Nevada The Best Move !!! WELCOME Minnie ,Mickey and all your Friends!!

  40. Jane Kimsey

They should move to Colorado there’s so much open land and not enough family fun to do. They should also lower ticket prices to reflect the current depression our country is in.

  41. Maryjo

The start of the fall of the Disney empire if they do that. People combine Florida, ocean, tropical with Disney not the feeling if you go to Nevada.

  42. Eva

Yes do it move out of overrated crowded Los Angeles area! Bring jobs to Nevada! They don’t pay local taxes…..great idea!

  43. Irwin

Moving to Nevada isn’t necessary. There’s an abundance of land in Northern Los Angeles County and Southern Kern County, the Antelope Valley, where studio facilities can be built where public transit already exists for hourly studio employees to be able to get to work. These thousands of essential employees wouldn’t be able to afford to sell their existing homes and move en mass to Southern Nevada. Please think of the little guys not just the bug stars and the studio execs.

  44. J

Are they bringing their water with them? Because if not, theyre going to run into a little problem…

  45. C.black

Ya, right. Are they only going to be open in the winter and at nite. Sounds like a cook off.

  46. Shelby

Hey jerk!! My family lives there! They have there own businesses and are doing just fine! Just because you couldn’t handle it and crashed your life doesn’t mean jack!

  47. Ona

Also Desanti is a “delusional egomaniac” just like the yellow haired monster.

  48. PH

    Why not Puerto Rico

  49. BJ Blaskowitz

    I smell some BS here

  50. Marvin Kuechle

They might want to think about WATER, Nevada doesn’t have any to spare. I’m sure the residents would be willing to give up their drinking water so that Disneyland can have all that they need.

    1. Liz

Where will the extra water source come from to support Disney and future development around it? Colorado River? Isnt there a water shortage for Nevada?

  51. Pam

I’ve lived in Roanoke Virginia all my 63 years. It was a Railroad town since 1880’s. But the government here in Roanoke city drove out the largest employer, N&W (Norfolk & southern) out from our region. Dogging N&W with regulations, high taxes…even regulation on the very land the rails occupied. Then the local government drove out General Electric. Ron DeSantis is doing the same to Disney World, Florida’s largest employer.

  52. Tee Billinger

I absolutely agree that Disney should move ALL Business out of Florida and to Nevada. I believe it would and could be bigger and more profitable.
Plus they won’t have to deal with ron anymore.

  53. It doesn’t matter where Disney moves to because many people including myself will never see or be a p art of any Disney productions because of what it did to Johnny Depp.
    NO DEPP — NO DISNEY.

  54. Schnicklefritz

I think that Disney should move everything out of Florida. The entire kit and kibootle. I think it’s too damn bad that there no way to move the beaches outta Florida either. The never never state.

  55. Tom

The water of Lake Meade is getting lower and lower. How much more big business can lake Meade provide water for until its all gone. I would hold off for a bit before putting another super corporation in the Nevada area. JMO

  56. BurgerBob

Wow Disney is partnering with other monolithic entertainment groups then moving their production and largest cash projects to a state that’s always been far from corrupt with no shady dealings to get a legal tax break, seems fair…

  57. Nightshade

Disney needs to move out of the 4th reich state formerly known as florida

    1. Come to TEXAS we would all love Disneyland, I’m from calif and miss it deeply

  58. Ms Winning

Yes. Move to Nevada. Get out ou there.

  59. Algaer

Disney can’t afford to move anywhere. They’ve gone Woke and they’re going BROKE!

  60. Ann

Yes, Nevada is the best place to film.

  61. Bev

Hope they bring along their own water!

  62. James S Krisvoy

Nevada is entertainment & corporate friendly..and this represents a partial move to Disney..so why not. Go for it.

  63. Joyce

With Lake Mead shrinking, ground water becoming more scarce, I find it incredibly irresponsible for Disney to even consider building anywhere in the desert.

  64. Gavin

Regular people are sick of the Disney Corporation and it’s money grubbing policies. When they lost membership on Disney Plus instead f doing the logical thing, making it more customer friendly, they did the Harvard thing, taking away content. Disney cares zero for normal everyday customers or especially their workers

  65. Jim

Don’t know and don’t care. It’s purely a business decision. Good luck to all involved!

  66. Alexie

This doesn’t say they are moving. Just that they are possibly going to use the facility or have a space/facility in Nevada. They aren’t moving. They’re scouting for film locations. Just because Dosney films something in Australia, doesn’t mean their whole company is moving to Australia.

  67. Yolanda Roberts

Illinois is the perfect choice for Disney world. Considering this move will not displace people & their homes & taxes would not go through the roof as Illinois residents will not feel this is a good move if it costs them more than they can afford. Personally, think Illinois the state I love lacks & home to Walt Disney & the creation of Walt Disney World here is exciting thought to ponder fun for families that might not otherwise be able to travel to enjoy such a grand place. Y.R.M

  68. david kyi

Would love it if Disney moved to Nevada. Could visit Vegas for the adult entertainment and Disney properties for the kid’s entertainment

  69. uptown

I live in orlando. Orlando is theme parked out! Magic kingdom, epcot, animal planet, studios, Universal studios, seaworld, Adventure island, other smaller ones, you really think that Disney moving another park somewhere else instead of Orlando is going to be a stick in our eye? It’s a blessing!

  70. Mercy

Totally and absolutely NOT. Disney needs to stay where Walt started it and suck up the issue they have with the governor. It would take years for them to rebuild everything, Florida has already the land, the set-up, the weather and everything else. Plus Florida is not as expensive as California, Nevada and the rest of the states unless you want to go to freezing cold states and tourists don’t want that.

  71. C

Do it you need the move Disney

  72. Julie

Just say “No”. I live in Arizona and Nevada shares something with us. It is a desert state that is in a 20 year drought and is dependent on ground water and the Colorado River. There is NOT ENEOUGH WATER to sustain continued growth. There are farmers whose land has already gone dry. There is a town near Scottsdale that went dry. They have to get water from somewhere else which is expensive and won’t last forever. Neither state can afford to keep growing its population. People need water to survive in a desert.

  73. Barbara Dyer

Are you talking about Disney world moving to Nevada or just doing the movies in Nevada? Or both? If it’s doing movies in Nevada I think that’s okay. If it’s Disney world then it shouldn’t move. Nevada’s got a lot of land. Let them build another Disney park our there and leave Florida’s alone. They could move part of Disney world in another state like Georgia. It would be closer for me to get to go to. Or move all of Disney world to Georgia. Or just build another Disney theme park in Georgia. Even build another Disney shopping center in Georgia. With more hurricanes going to Florida and messing Disney world up and possibly flooding in the future, Georgia would be the answer to the problem. Or maybe even Sevier county Tennessee might do the trick as well.

    1. Truth Seeker

Just creating movie studio in Nevada. People do not read the article and comment on moving the park to Nevada. It would cost too much to move the park. The company just needs to follow the same rules that all the other parks do in Florida.

  74. Sharon

I have most of the post on here. First of all, it’s a rumour. Disney is not going to move as it would cost .millions to move. They will just keep pushing back on Desantis. I work at Disney world and the company fighting back. Now they may open a other park in a different state to add to they existing parks all over the world. Don’t over think it people. Have a great day!

  75. Aspehn

    Yes to Nevada
