I live in Fl, and myself and many others I’ve spoken to about about summer trips and travels, none of us could you even pay to go to Disney, it’s a constant in the news, it’s everyday something closed, something is off, no thank you. Disney is in a tremendous struggle and it’s losing ground, it’s losing sight of what Disney is.
40 years I have lived in Florida. People working at Disney are simply defending their jobs and commenting here. Florida has not been good for Florida,the traffic, or quality of life here. And they make their own rules because of the corrupt, secret deal Disney made with the corrupt lawmakers before they bought all their swampland. If you can find the contract ,you will be on our governors side and want to protect Florida taxpayers more.
They didn’t even mention why. Did someone get offended by the pirates misappropriating hair braids or perhaps not enough depictions of openly homosexual pirate-on-pirate intercourse. Disney is fast becoming a running joke.
You wanna know why? Because the ride has a scene of pirates auctioning off women to be slaves, and Disney thought that scenes of sex slavery were maybe not the best thing to have in their ride in 2023. But you go on being offended by every change, snowflake
My dad was one of the first artists to create at the original Disneyland in Anaheim. From the original carousel to the Pirates of the Caribbean ship, his projects were first class and
he set the bar very high for every experience to come afterwards. Little did we know that those projects would be the high point of Disney attractions. Nothing comes close any more. Thanks Dad for always doing your best, which WAS, simply, The Best! We enjoyed it while it lasted!
Stay woke and adapt to changes. I am for these changes and lived in Florida for half of my life. I have moved to the cold mountains now, and may visit Disney in the near future. I really agree that Disney may be changing and change is a great thing in this world. Life is ever changing, so we learn to adapt. One ride not up and running will not be ruining my day! Every day is a gift and I would be happy to enjoy Disney without one ride not working out of hundreds more. There’s so many other things to worry about in life, and this is so minor. It’s a change for the good and for the future of having respect for women.

Disney is destroying itself with the woke crap they are pushing, along with high ticket prices, genie+ and extra per ride charges if you want to make sure to get to ride the most popular rides. Universal is leaving them in the dust. We will continue to go and spend our money in Universal and enjoy ourselves without the company trying to push an agenda down our throats!

I believe that when Walt was alive Disney was a good family attraction without motives of indoctrination of children..now I would stay far away since they have chosen to push a viewpoint that many are opposed to. Why not just provide a fun “family” attraction where people can have fun and nor be indoctrinated? Boycotting Disney and praying for a good change.
Sort of a nothing story! It’s closed for less than four weeks for refurbishment. I was expecting that it would be because it was being updated. The Shanghai Disney Pirates ride is greatly updated and follows more of a storyline of the later movies, or that was how I saw it. It was a more exciting ride. The Paris Pirates is the same as the WDW one. A fun ride nine the less.
Does it really matter anyways? Disney is practically ruining every franchise it touches. Star Wars, Star Trek, and currently Pirates of the Caribbean franchise.
