  1. It is still costly and does not work well! This is just more blah blah blah blah!

My guess, knowing Disney, is single parks will cost same as multi day parks do now; and all park will cost more. I’m betting, as in most Disney “enhancements” it enhances only Disney’s bottom line. No explanation, other than Disney greed has ever been made for eliminating free fast pass.

I know I visit WDW far less often as they continue to charge MORE for LESS.

I’ve been going to Disney since they opened, when I was a little girl. We had the residents annual passes since they had resident annual passes. I haven’t been to Disney I. Almost 4 years.

so… you haven’t been since they shut down due to covid? Not really a flex.

How about a “hard pass” on Genie +. Stop buying it. Those that purchase Disney + are the ones causing the problems for the rest of us.

      Sorry Genie +

Genei plus is still a rip off no matter which way you look at it. Guests pay BIG BUCKS to get into a Disney park and then Disney has the nerve to charge you even more……ubsurd!!! Until folks wake up and stop going, Disney will continue to screw you to the wall. Send Disney a message that Genei + is not exceptable. You pay enough to go to the parks…..let us enjoy it.

Exactly! What in the world makes them think that we would buy into the idea that this is a good deal???

    Actually costing me more

  6. Kb

Oh look they found a way too dig even deeper

  7. Just let us buy our Genie + before our trip if we want to! If you want to buy it daily then both should be an option. One less thing to worry about in the early morning before going to the parks. You can’t book anything before 7 am anyway.

Just bring it back the free way and let people pay. I’m willing to pay the extra to automatically put a slot of 3 riddles in and anything worse a la carte.

Just go ahead and raise the park admission and quit all this nonsense and bring back fast pass. Something that was not confusing and actually works. I have two college degrees and still can’t keep up with all this nonsense. You have made Disney unbearable for someone that just wants to go enjoy the parks. Now you have to stay on your phone constantly, keep up with prices at each and every park or ride, make reservations, and still doesn’t work. The expense has become outrageous. The last CEO stated they didn’t want poor people coming to Disney. Well, I think they have succeeded there. I’ve been going to Disney for 31 years (almost every year), but it’s now like going to a cheap carnival where you have to pay for every ride. No thanks. Walt would roll over in his grave to see what Disney had become!

Wow so this is supposed to be great news ? Anytime it’s going to cost me more $$$ is not great and I refuse to pay to go now.
    Disney you suck‼️
I hate the changes haven’t been since 2019 and I visited regularly. Quit picking our pockets. Bring back the free fast passes. Then I’ll be back to visit the Parks‼️

    Disney needs a new CEO.

  12. Julie A Snyder

I’ve got no intention of paying to get onto a ride faster.

What was wrong with the old FastPass. Wait……Nothing!! My family had no problems with the FastPass, worked fine getting on the rides we wanted and all. Bring that system back, no one complained. They charge enough already. Greed is this Genie+ in general.

  14. Jeffrey Chow

Eliminate genie+ and bring back the original fastpass system.

  15. DM

Or they could stop pretending that any customers want Genie+, stop gouging people to death, and bring back free Fast Passes. But I bet that possibility hasn’t come up in their “market research.”

Like a lot had said here, I have been going since I was born and even moved to Orlando in 2018. I decided to stop having a pass in 2022 and am not going to get one again in the foseeable future. I enjoyed going, but the lines and fast pass situation changes things for me. I agree it has gotten too expensive and annoying to go even as a resident. So much to do in Florida outside of the parks, have been enjoying all those things. It is cheaper to take cruises out of these ports at the resident deals they give us.. than it is to vacation at Disney.

We just did a week at WDW at the first of June. Didn’t do Genie+ and did just fine. Unseasoned visitors are tricked into thinking it’s an absolute necessity. Get to the parks early, hit the big rides first, and keep an eye on wait times throughout the day. If you learn how to navigate and avoid frustration, you can usually ride everything by the end of the day.

  18. I read somewhere recently that one of Disney’s foreign parks is making the service free and also letting guests book rides ahead of time. Basically going back to fastpass+, which is what all the parks should do.

All I want is to pay for something where we can get through the lines faster and skip past the Magic Keys. We only get to come once every couple years so I’m fine with paying extra to maximize our time.
