Disney and Disney fans & supporters should probably focus Disney products, services and finances. Disney picking a fight and threatening to use mega-corporation resources to attack laws passed by our democratically elected representatives was never a good idea.

“Our goal as a company is for this law to be repealed by the legislature or struck down in the courts, and we remain committed to supporting the national and state organizations working to achieve that.”

Bob chapek is not in charge anymore, Robert Igor is..and even says bring it. Gov. DeSantis put in a board that effected counties, those counties did not elect those board members and even took the state of Florida to court before it could take effect to try to stop it..where a federal judge literally said, you don’t know, you have to wait and see for any for your accusations to come true.

Citizens United says, shut the f up and deal with it. You voted for it, now live with it.

The proper legal remedy is to dissolve the special district entirely. This is something no one wants because of the debt burden and logistical issues but there is no other “equitable” way to resolve the dispute from a constitutional stand point. The state appointed board was not chosen by the people who live and own land in the district, hence the people have had there rights striped from them by the state and the state dictates terms without a way for the residence to remove them. The state tried to have their cake and eat it too by punishing disney and not the counties at the same time. It is not going to pass the supreme court smell test. Either thing go back to the way they were prior to Desantis violating free speech rights or dissolve the district entirely and leave it to the local counties and tax payers to deal with. Thats how it should be, considering all these special districts are a scam in one form or another.

Considering the residents of the those counties literally are fine with how things were..they went to court to try to stop DeSantis and lost. I would think if anyone had a problem with how things were in those districts..it would be the residents

Keep writing good stuff for your corporate master bub. Non of this would be happening if the company had just worked behind the scene. Iger hired all the wokes, he chose Chapek, now he lives with the results.

Correction..none of this would be happening if Disney kept up with the donations to DeSantis..but they stopped it. I’m guessing you don’t keep track of companies and who they give donations to. Politicians care a lot more about their donations than their opinions. And as far as Iger, he says bring it.

This is happening because DeSantis is a person that demand obedience. Every single action as governor proves that point. the Disney Company was being disobedient and DeSantis decided to punish it as he stated many times over. Since there was never a mention of any issues with the specific status of the Reedy Creek District prior to The Disney Company Disobedience , it is clear that fairness and taxes had nothing to do with DeSantises decision. Frankly, all those special district should be dissolved and the local tax paying voting communities should step up and take responsibility for those entities in there communities.

Desantis needs to focus on real problems facing floridians, mickey + drag queens are not our problems, high insurance rates, homeless, senior care and the list goes on!

Hard to believe there are people so Narrow minded as to support this Biggoted Lunatic for any public position let alone President.
