Having worked in costumes at several different theme parks, including Disney, I can guarantee the actor could not see well enough to intentionally grope. The character of Tigger specifically has been accused of this before in California and when it went to trial, the jurors were each allowed to put on the head to see what the actual actor can see. They unanimously decided he was not at fault and if there was any groping, it was not intentional. Different character costumes have different amounts of visibility, but none of them can see great. Tigger, Winnie the Pooh, and Wile E. Coyote (at Six Flags) and Road Runner (also at Six Flags) are notorious among the cast as having some of the worst visibility.

The article says “him” when referring to the actor, but I’m somewhat dubious as these characters can be played by anyone.

There are cameras EVERYWHERE all of the time. If this was anything but an isolated incident that actor would be caught very quickly. There are better ways to ruin your life than with heavy character gloves on.

We’ve all been touched inappropriately at some time, male or female. Usually it’s someone we know, or an accidental touch. Maybe something said. But there is a far higher bar raised for sexual assault, tears, and ruining one’s vacation – especially as a travel agent.

She likely smelled money. And figured she would capitalize on a bad political situation. She probably doesn’t realize how she has destroyed the young woman or man in that costume, whom Disney will prevent from counter suing. And man, I’m tired of people like that.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office actually made the actor come in; he is a he. Frustratingly, he is said to have “played” (past tense) Tigger for 25 to 28 hours a week in a FloridaPolitics.com article based on the Sheriff’s Office report.

A detail they mention: the woman held the camera nearly directly over her head while taking the picture. Tigger had to contort to fit into the image.
